I have sent my results and months later have not got anything back. Finally, I get an answer that I need to send my sample again! I am so disappointed as I think they wait till you even forget about this all together and looks like a scam to me. I would say save your money and don’t even bother.

The heritage was accurate, however the skin test (I paid additional $19) wasn't. It stated that i tan well and have low chances for rosacea. When in fact, i burn in 15min under the sun, never was managed to get a real tan and have an active rasacea. I did a skin test with another lab, and it was more accurate. Updated: the answer to Vitagene support. I hope you understand that majority of your customers do not have genetic background and rely on the data you provide. So if you say something like "you can tan easy", then a person can go and tan, trusting your finding. And what you are saying - your tests are not reliable and do not necessary correlate with the actual person's well-being. So what is the use then? Also, there is no description on SNPs. Do you really expect your users understand each of the SNPs, without describing them? After your answer, i am changing my three stars to one star. thank you

I still waiting for my lab samples update after 4 weeks! No one response my email no phone to call... it seems like a waste of money and time.

I ordered this March 19th with expedited shipping and still don't have product. I sent an email with no response and the phone number they list isn't theirs. Cannot seem to get anyone to respond. Very frustrating!

They do not disclose that once you get your results, that it is only a raw DNA test that you have to take somewhere else and pay to have it translated, nor that to get other results you have to pay for them as well. What you do get is a generic test result that you probably already know the answers to, and honestly this to me was a waste of time and money, and a scam. Not disclosing this information is illegal. They seem to care about helping after you pay and after you get results you can not use unless you pay more, but at this point you've waited for generic answers that don't really tell you anything, unless you pay more money. If I had known this I would have saved my money and time, and used another more legit company.

Well, it can't be trusted, and the reason is obvious and can be easily found on their website. They don't check ALL of your DNA, they take only the parts used for ancestral origins test, and guess the rest basing on what usually appears for other people with similar results in the tested parts. In other words, they just check your race and just put values that are average for people of the same race. That said, I'm 194cm and got told that my estimated height basing on DNA is 173cm. While none of my parents were that short. Also, it said that I am likely to have MORE PERFORMANCE IN POWER EXERCISES than cardio, but MORE LIKELY TO LOSE FAT THAN TO GAIN MUSCLES. So, the results are not even consistent.

The DNA testing is fine. . . BUT save your money on the "Wellness" report. You can get better information off the internet. All you get is diet information such as you need to drink 7 glasses of water a day, and salt could make your blood pressure rise. Once they get your money there are NO refunds, all Vitagene want to do is sell you supplements and argue with you about there lame report. The report is not even worth $5.00 let alone $49.00. if you want a good report go to Promethease.com and pay $5.00 for a much better report with some information. This is in response to Vitagene response to my post here on Trust pilot I did pay to get the "Wellness" report from Family Tree DNA, but it is Vitagene who generated the report. Vitagene did not have your billing information in order to refund you from their plat form. Will you please consider removing a review on our product that you received a full refund for? We will be happy to gift you a free consultation with our lead nutritionist to go over your report with you and let you keep your report for free if you remove the review on a product that you did not have to pay any money for.--- It appear funny to me that you state you did not have my billing address, yet you refunded my money within 24 hours of my post here on Trust Pilot. Your report is not worth any price including FREE, so no I don't want a consultation to help me understand this useless report. But my biggest issue with this company is their customer service . . . When someone ask nicely for a refund. . . Give it to them! I did get a refund but it was after three days and several very long emails and for me threatening me to spread the word about the service I received, that finally got the refund. but am more upset by the way I have been treated by Vitagene. All Vitagene has wanted to do is argue and defend their report. Their emails and customer service have been condescending and just shy of calling me stupid. I don not appreciate the way I have been treated. If someone wants to question the way I have been treated, I can prove my worth by sharing my email with this company. Just ask me for them! I would think this business would have something better to do than fight with their customers. Thank you for the refund, but enough is enough!
