So my daughter took her truck to the rivergate location in Nashville. They chargged her 100 for the service. The next day the engine light was on then took it back and they brushed her off and said everything was ok.Put a device in to read code which was a malfunction cyclinder1.Took it to the dealer who stated that oil was low and the wrong filter was used.Paid for another oil change another filter and left. The next day truck was hesitating acting like it was going to cut off. Took it back to the dealer they suggested that it may need a new solenoid switch that was going to cost about 1900.Took it to Freeland where it was purchased and a tech ckd it out and stated that the previous dealer did not clear the codes out after the oil change. This cost me 156 plus 59 the total was 315 thanks to valvoline .I have filed a claim waiting to see if they will admit to there error which could have caused the engine to lock up. Never again. Midland Tx Wadley & Loop 250
Midland Tx Wadley & Loop 250. Slowest oil change ever. They pull you in the first stall where they check your battery, lights and check tire pressure. You wait until the vehicle in front of you has it oil change before pulling up to do you next. I literally sat in my truck for 1.5 hours. Never again.

I will never, ever go again!!!
I will never, ever go back to them again! Nor would I recommend them to even my worst enemy! Their customer service is terrible, attitude towards customers is an abomination! I was not told which type of oil I was receiving, and when I did ask, I got a sarcastic and surly response! And they are way too expensive for what they provide. Their too concerned with trying to sell your other services than change your oil! I will forever give them a bad rating, anytime anywhere! Do not go to these people, they are the worst!!!😠

A Vicious Valvoline Experience
My wife took her car to Valvoline for an oil change. Big mistake. The manager, Charles, suggested that the radiator needed a flushing, and my wife agreed to go through with the service. Immediately upon leaving Valvoline after the service, she was distraught by a rattling coming from inside the hood of the car. She called me. As she had to get to work, she didn’t have time to return to Valvoline. However, a couple of minutes later she called me back as the engine was overheating and smoke was emanating from the hood of the car. She barely made it to the parking lot of a gas station before the engine died. The heat gauge was redlining, the radiator was smoking hot, and the car had to be towed to the mechanic.
My wife took an Uber home, missed work, and the mechanic called after his inspection. He said the radiator was empty when our car had been brought in, the fan had been damaged badly, and there was a hole in the radiator as if something had been dropped into it or somehow been shaken loose. The mechanic also sent me a photo of the hole in the radiator. The radiator had worked just fine prior to Charles’s flushing.
I called Valvoline about the issue but nobody picked up. I then spoke with Valvoline’s customer service. They took down the details and I eventually spoke with Charles via customer service and told him about the incident. He said he’d call the mechanic and then call me back. I did not hear anything over the next two weeks and called Valvoline once more. Nobody picked up so I again spoke with customer service and they escalated the issue, as Charles had not spoken with the mechanic or updated the claim file.
A couple of weeks later I called Valvoline again as I had heard nothing from Charles, and customer service arranged for a conversation with the Valvoline manager. Charles told me that the mechanic had said on a recorded line that the radiator was damaged from regular wear and tear and that his service had not caused the damage. I did not believe that as the mechanic had stated otherwise and also sent me the picture of the hole in the radiator. I requested a copy of the recording but Charles refused my request.
I was outraged by his blatant lies and had also never experienced a service manager lying to me and basically calling me – the customer – a liar. I re-iterated the actual events and the clear-cut cause and effect between his upsell, subsequent radiator handling, and the radiator damages that became evident immediately upon my wife’s departure from Valvoline. I could not reason with Charles, who stuck to his falsehood, and I told him that I’d have to speak with his supervisor.
After the very upsetting conversation with Charles, I called the mechanic and he confirmed that he’d never said to Charles anything about the damages having been caused by regular wear and tear. The mechanic had said the same thing to Charles as he’d told me, which was that something had damaged the fan and burnt a hole in the radiator, draining it of fluids.
After the conversation with the mechanic, I called customer service and was told that the case had already been closed. The service agent reopened the case and I requested speaking with the area manager, Arnando. I waited for more than two weeks but never received a call from the area manager. So I am now writing this letter to notify you of the type of customer experience Valvoline is producing here in Miami at the hands of Charles and Arnando. Not only did my wife come in for a regular $40 oil service, she was upsold on the radiator flushing service, paid $160, and then had to pay for an Uber and repairs, a total of more than $500. And on top of that we had to deal with the lies and the terrible customer service at the hands of Charles. If nothing else, Valvoline should at least have refunded the radiator service that in effect caused the damages to our vehicle’s radiator. But they did not. I have never had a worse experience as a customer, and I am writing this in the hope that no other customer has to suffer through a similar experience.

Bad Service in BG KY
After moving to a new state (KY) we had to find a new Valvoline location in BG and was disappointed there is only one. The CSR was very passive/aggressive and the tech wore oily gloves when checking my air filter and ruined it. The CSR also damaged my wiper after I told her I just replaced them them the week before. I followed up with customer service and have since been ignored after my concerns were escalated up the chain of command. Stay away from their Bowling Green KY franchise as they don't reflect the excellent service that is usually expected from this company.

Extremely poor customer service
Extremely poor customer service. Also I tried applying at my home town service center and the manager wouldn’t even come out to meet me. I then place my application online since they’ve have the ad up for over a yr and a half now thinking hey this guy could help us out with his expertise in the field. Was I wrong. I never got an explanation why and what they were looking for. If this is the service they give there employees, I feel bad for the poor service and high price they give the customers. Shut this place down and get them out of our town.

Post Valvoline trip - burnt smelly oil on engine !
Had a an oil change this past Sunday and not 10 minutes later at a red light that I noticed the smell of burning oil. I saw smoke coming from my engine and pulled the car over and let it cool off. I drove it back to Valvoline where they sprayed the engine to "remove" the burning oil. I told the worker to check to make sure they tightened oil filter and oil drain plug as I feared the car would either burn and the engine would seize. The car reeks of burnt oil now and might take it to Toyota dealer to get another oil change just to play it safe - never go there again. Not even an apology, not good.
