Store located on Spring Green, Katy TX across from Kroger. Was first vehicle in line on already in the bay. Took them over 25 minutes to get that car done. Pulled into Bay #1. Attendant asked if I wanted synthetic blind or pure synthetic. Said full synthetic. He said I had been previously ordering synthetic blend. That’s not correct. Took them 32+ minutes to change the oil. Had it on stopwatch. They sprayed oil on windshield. Holt tried to clean. Holt gave me $20 for Mister Carwash. They charged me $185. Minus the $15 coupon $170. A barrel of oil cost $85. That’s 220 quarts. My truck takes 8 quarts of oil. They said they put 8.5 quarts. Better not have. Was not offered a paper receipt and did not get a receipt and did not get a reminder sticker for next oil change. Been getting my oil changed for over 55 years. It’s never been this bad. I will admit I told them I’m never coming back to this location. Whoever owns this store, you need a real manager.

Unfortunately, my partner took our car here to get the oil changed. The Valvoline employee left a cap off and our engine was completely ruined. Communication with Valvoline since then has been awful. Every time we call, we are told we need to talk to the "area manager" who refuses to even return our calls. I guess he can't be bothered. So they ruined our car, won't communicate with us and refuse to make this right. My partner missed 13 days of work due to this issue because he works with his car and this has put us in a terrible spot... Yet we don't even get a phone call. I would literally never recommend this company to anyone.

I have been going to VIOC for over 30 years. On 6/11/2026 | took my car in. The tech underneath took the splash guard 1/2 way off. It doesn't need to be touched for an oil change. He didn't inform anyone. As I drove away it was banging the undercarriage. I went back and they wire tied it up. I made a claim( CS3163742) | received a few emails telling me to call them. Besides the standard emails they have made zero effort to follow up on a 30+ year customer. Very Disappointed.

However, my recent visit raised several red flags that left me deeply disappointed with the service standards: ​Unusual Payment Pressure & Distraction: Mid-service, a technician abruptly came over and insisted I pay before the job was completed—something I have never been asked to do here before. Instead of simply running my card, he insisted I walk over to the point-of-sale machine. It felt like a deliberate tactic to pull my attention away and distract me from watching the work being done on my vehicle. ​Coupon Confusion & Runaround: Initially, a technician claimed my $25 coupon wasn't valid. After searching on my own, I found a $15 coupon, which they accepted. Later, I checked the terms of the original $25 coupon again and realized it was valid after all. I had to contact corporate customer service separately to get my bill adjusted. ​Overfilled Oil Pan: To top it all off, I was later informed that they had overfilled my oil pan, requiring them to correct their mistake. ​The core appeal of this business model is being able to watch the technicians service your car right in front of you. Pushing customers to pay early and distracting them undermines that trust. Combined with billing hassles and fluid errors, this visit fell far short of expectations. I hope management addresses these procedural issues.

I went in for an oil change in February. While unsuccessfully trying to remove my cabin air filter, the tech punched a hole in my passenger seat with his elbow. The manager came within a hair of accusing me of trying to steal from them. I filed a claim and obtained 3 quotes as requested. Then they just did nothing until I prompted them and they delayed some more until they came back that the quotes could not be email. I had one company send an updated quote on letterhead. The rest just ignored me and I realized Valvoline was just going to eat more of my time and the upholsterers' than the seat repair costs, about $350. They just want to string me along until I forget about it or pass away. What a horrible, horrible business?

I called to ask about AC recharge. They said they offered the service for $200. I went to a Valvoline location and, while waiting in line, confirmed the service and cost with the tech. I waited in line for over a half hour. When it came time for the service, the tech then told me that I would need to drive to another location and the service would now cost $350. I called corporate to give them the chance to make this right. They said they do not honor quotes. Never again will I give money to this company. They have no integrity and they employ predatory sales tactics. Buyer beware!

Crooks. Charging a $5 low oil fee because of Iran war? Laughable. Then they dont have my oil filter, have to order from an auto parts store and still have the audacity to not give any refund

Went to get my oil changed today and was not satisfied. I told the gentleman I wanted the cheapest oil change and yet he didn't listen. He is the manager of the Dickson tn store. Not happy at all. I just wanted a simple oil change not to pay a outrageous price. Will not be going back. The don't listen to the customer..
