WORST PLACE TO GET AUTO REPAIR. THEY ARE JUST PRETEND.

Review is negative 10 but not an option. Other than regular maintenance we have not had a single mechanical issue with our 2011 Toyota Avalon since purchase as original owner, until 1st ever Valvoline service March 2022. After oil change I optioned both transmission and coolant services. Valvoline tech did not fully connect primary engine / radiator hose that fully disconnected under pressure and lost all radiator coolant. A small amount of coolant held by engine block prevented engine seizure. Days later experienced extreme smoke from under hood followed with Check Engine warning. Took to Toyota dealer who documented that transmission fluid overfill created internal pressure, and overflow valve released fluid into engine cavity to prevent transmission seal failure, as the overflow valve is designed to do. The fluid covered right side of engine shorting out engine O2 sensor. Valvoline DENYED it was a Valvoline error that created problem!! I paid for repair and cleaning fluid that covered engine and underside of car. Yesterday re-submitted claim to Valvoline Customer Care. Was told that person needed to review is on vacation for a full week and will respond when able to do so. If denied again I will be forced to take to Small Claims Court for full repairs cost + 13 hours of lost time cost created in managing this Valvoline transmission service workmanship mistake. * I will update this pending result of claim re-submission.

My daughter had the oil changed in her 2018 Chevy Equinox, with 58,000 miles on it. They put in 4.2 quarts of Full Synthetic, Max Life oil. The cost for this service was $95.39, after coupon. This vehicle did not require a high mileage oil and even the cost for this service did not justify the excessive price, none of my fleet vehicles, which are 8-cylinder vehicles, cost this much (Tire Discounters, Full synthetic and tire rotation, $73)! Second, she was never given a receipt for the service and when I visited the store to discuss the service and request a receipt, I was told the printer was not working. I had to contact corporate to have one emailed. I will not be recommending Valvoline Instant Oil Change to anyone and will make sure that others I work closely with in my field are aware of the cost associated with just an oil change if they send a young female to have one done.

In Youngstown OH, the Belmont Avenue business, I had my car’s oil change last year. I would, of course, not assume anything was wrong unless oil was blown out due to untightened (or missing, due to negligent service) oil cap (above) or oil plug (below). I had no idea the skid plate was barely put back on underneath, until I lost it the next day. I also would not have expected the service folk there to deliberately add less than 3.5 quarts to a 5.5 quart capacity. So I find that my 6000 miles oil is black as it gets, and dangerously low. Glad they saved the two quarts of my paid-for oil! I had to do a $20 oil system cleaning to ensure the overworked oil was completely out of my car! I hope this ACTUAL experience ensures other would-be customers may know what crooks they may be choosing.

INCOMPETENT THUGS WILL BREAK YOUR CAR AND ROB YOU! I came into the Fairfield CT location for an oil change. The manager Benjamin was incredibly rude and condescending the entire time I was talking to him. The staff there was untrained and completely incompetent. Before working on my car, the "certified technician" said out loud, "I've never worked on a Subaru before," before completely botching a simple oil change. I drove out of there having no idea that they didn't even change my oil. My car then began to stall and sputter. I had to get an emergency diagnostic at Dan Perkins, as I was too far away to go back to valvoline. I legitimately thought my car was going to break down. Welp, it turns out that when valvoline changed my oil, they hadn't done it properly at all. I collected evidence that valvoline was responsible for my car problems. I brought them the evidence, requested a refund, and was greeted by their manager Benjamin not only denying my refund, but being incredibly rude and disrespectful the entire time to both me and my husband, even laughing hysterically at us after finding out that we we're married. I was not only completely robbed, losing over 260 dollars over a simple oil change, but I was humiliated and seriously dehumanized on top of everything. I reported Benjamin to customer service and they didn't care. They just told me that he wasn't usually like this, and the person I talked to, I believe his name was Kevin, advocated for Benjamin because they attend the same church group. Kevin brushed me off, and basically told me that no disciplinary action was going to happen. I've never had such a horrible experience at any establishment in my entire life. Not only did this group of homophobic thugs rob me, but they also humiliated and laughed at me afterwards. I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall as nobody is being proactive in mending this whole situation. I don't know what I want to happen anymore, but this whole situation just doesn't sit right with me, and it's causing me a lot of emotional and financial distress. 1 STAR DOESN'T EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE THIS "COMPANY"

i went in for an oil change on 11/16 and two employees were clearly ganging up on the other two employees and even went so far as to threaten them. clearly management does not have this place in control. you cannot threaten to put a bucket on someones head and clown around and think its ok. i went to the maumee ohio location on conant st.

The Conyers Ga location is a waste of time & has horrible customer service Wesley is a jerk. They had me wait 2 hours in line to tell me they didn’t have enough oil for my car. To turn around to tell me to get the oil come back & say I have to get back in line. Go to more reputable places. This company is horrible. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE

Typical scammers who take advantage of people who are unaware. They have aggressive upsell tactics. My young daughter came to this location (without telling me) to get an oil change. They charged her $185.00 for a synthetic oil change while the Ford dealership near her charges $68.95 for the same synthetic oil This is my daughter's first car and she has never had an oil change before. She tried to show some initiative by taking the car in on her own and they took complete advantage of her. You know this place is bad when they charge much more than the actual dealership does. Do yourself a favor and shop around. It should be criminal to pay $185 for an oil change for a 4 cylinder engine. Save your money and protect yourself from these unethical business practices in use at Valvoline Instant Oil Change.
