Leander, TX location. Avoid this place! Cant speak for all locations, but when my Wife took her car there, they apparently like to play the game of getting her to commit to additional charges, and even adding/charging addition services that were never even discussed - all without discussing pricing until they take your card, charge you, then give the card back and wave you out of the garage - and wont give you a receipt until you stop and ask for one! Even the prior quoted price of the full-synth oil change for the make, model, year and engine of the vehicle I gave them was a lie. The 93.99 price was given to me "plus tax". However, even though they KNEW the vehicle ('21 Santa Fe), they proceeded to charge an "extra oil charge" AND a labor charge for the oil change on top of it. Dont be fooled by their scam operation. Speaking to the manager is a complete waste of time since he tries to talk to you like you are an idiot with things like: "Anytime you get work done anywhere, they charge for labor" and "We dont know in advance how much oil your vehicle takes". Seriously. He actually said those things and a few more. Been going to JiffyLube, Walmart, and half a dozen other places in the Cedar Park area for 20+ years and never had an issue until going to this scam Valvoline location. On a positive note, my Wife said they were really friendly!

They informed me that I needed my wiper blades changed. The attendant said $24.99 for premium blades, only to find out that was the price of each blade. She said she told me that , which she did not. Pulled out after the oil change into a very busy highway, sprayed my windshield and was completely blinded when I used my wipers. I was horrified and there was nothing I could do. Had to get around busy intersections to get back there to find out what had happened. Attendants had forgotten to take off the covering on the blades. Fortunately, I didn’t get into a serious car accident, but I was really shook up, besides paying $50.00 for a set of blades. I’m a widow on fixed income and they should be more specific concerning their pricing.

No way they changed the oil. I served in a navy engine room for five years as a machinist mate and know by the sound (and maintenance minder) when my car needs an oil change. After Valvoline Instant's oil change, the engine sound didn't change as it should with clean oil. I changed the oil myself to find their oil is like sludge after 200 miles (I have pictures and samples for comparison with new oil). They changed the filter but I can't believe they changed the oil. Never had an issue like this changing my own oli. Something is wrong and I don't trust this business for such a vital component of my car.

Pathetic at best! Just got my oil changed at the Rt 6 location in Portage Indiana. They did not check my battery, transmission fluid, brake fluid, steering fluid, air filter, coolant, or go through the reset procedure for the oil light. I called him out on it and he could care less. Receipt shows he did all these things and he did nothing. I asked him and I ask you, what am I paying for??? This is the 3rd location in the past year that I have received poor service or theft. Never again!

UPDATE: Still waiting to hear from the area manager, that I was told would contact me within 48 hrs. Look at and read reviews before you use this company. 2.6 overall rating. They will damage your vehicle and promise to take care of the issue then not have the common decency or professionalism to handle the issue. They changed my oil in June, went in for oil change and was told that the oil drain plug was stripped. They ordered one from O'Reilly auto parts which would be delivered by 3pm. Did not go back until next morning. They then stated it would be delivered at 11am. I called at 11 and was put on hold. Then hung up on. Tried to call back no answer. Called O'Reilly to check on part to be told it was delivered the day before. Amazingly awful customer service!! Valvoline damaged a tire stud while doing a tire rotation. They admitted damage and said they would make the repair. I requested they perform the repair at my local dealership. After negations and escalating the claim to the area manager, it was approved to be repaired at the dealership. I made the first appointment available after being told the repair was approved. I was told they would pay for it over the phone with a credit card and to complete the repair by customer service. I requested a confirmation email and they said it was not needed and everything was recorded. Upon picking up my vehicle, the claim was denied. No one reached out to tell me the claim was denied. The customer service agent stated the exact same thing. They denied the payment without notifying the owners. We requested a copy of the recorded audios stating it was approved and Valvoline says we can only obtain them through a subpoena and legal action. The Valvoline customer service line even suggested we take legal action to have the repair paid for. This is absolutely unacceptable customer service.

I took my 2018 Audi to Valvoline to get an oil change, it almost cost me my car. I have used this shop once before on my truck, and they seem to do a fair job, so I figured I let them do my car. They were very friendly and worked professionally. Everything seemed to be going as planned, and they finished up in about 15 minutes. As I pulled out of their parking lot, my car lurched a little bit and then would not pull forward. The RPMs would raise, but the car would not move. I turned it off and on, and everything seemed fine for about 30 seconds, and then the exact same thing happened, plus several of the warning lights on my dash came on. Well, it took 4-5 times of turning it off and on to do a U-turn and pull back into their parking lot. Now the car was also smoking badly. I got the gentleman who worked on my car, who turned out to be the manager. He came out to look at the car, then left and sent another person. That technician opened the hood (I noticed they had totally forgotten to reinstall my engine cover. This has nothing to do with the engine issues my car was having, as it is strictly decorative, but it further goes to show the level of service). The technician looked around the engine and said, "I don't see anything wrong." I said, "Well, it doesn't run, and there are a ton of warning lights on." He plugged in his computer to my car, looked at the screen, and said, "This has nothing to do with us; we only put oil in it. This is a known issue with this car". Well, I didn't want to fight with these guys, so I called a tow truck and had the car taken to the Audi dealer, where I found out... They NEVER drained the old oil. They drained the transmission fluid by accident. Then they added 6 liters of new oil to the already full engine and gave me my car with no transmission fluid and double oil. I ended up talking to their corporate offices, who had the store manager call me, at which point he told me, "We don't really mess with Audi's that much!". This information would have been useful when I pulled in. Audi was able to repair the car, and Valvoline paid most of the bills, but it was a HUGE pain that Valvoline did not care about at all. If you choose to go here, make sure they "Mess with your type of car" before they get started.

Deny, deny, deny ! That's what this Valvoline oil change shop on 14th Street in Bentonville will do if they ever damage your car. Their tech spilled oil all over my BMW's engine while filling and even put the filter on wrong. Oil was gushing from the filter and I had to bring it back 2 days later to replace it after I saw oil all over my driveway. Now my belts are squeaking and the service manager refuses to replace it. He insists that the squeaky is coming from somewhere else and Valvoline had nothing to do with it. For my car, it was just the belts, but for future customers, it may be a loose plug they did not tighten or something else that will damage the engine even more. Don't ever go to this place ! I just had the pulleys and belts replaced a year ago so I know it's not that and the squeaking was not there until Valvoline spilled oil all over my engine. Regardless of the facts, the store manager denies any liability. For their part, they did try to spray belt cleaner on it to see if it will clear the squeaking, but it made it worse. The belt cleaner spread the oil even further and now the car sounds like it's going to fall apart. Even after his own technician witnessed the squeaking getting worse after the belt cleaner was sprayed, the store manager still insists it's coming from somewhere else and it's not Valvoline's fault. I had to rinse the belt cleaner off with soap and water myself to get rid of some of the squeaking but it's still there.
