Getting there...
Look - I am not sure -- yet. You see, my little Tigger has a horrible hot spot condition. We moved from Boise, Idaho where his skin was fine. Here he has a definite flea allergy with resulting hot spots. I have been treating him via the Vet for a year and 1/2 now to no good resolution. After using Vetonix for a week his hair is beginning to regrow however he still has the spots. I took him to the groomer yesterday for a mani and pedi and she suggested not bathing him 2 times a week as the Vet suggested. She said back off to 1 time to preserve his skin. It is too dry. Trying that now. I feel horrible about all this, but the truth is I came south to Georgia due to ill and elderly parents. Pop passed a few months ago and Mom is now 86 with declining health so we must be here. (I moved into my house 3 friends, all disabled Vets - 1 served in and were injured in Iraq and the other, the wife of one of the Iraqi Vets served in and was injured in Somalia -- with their pets so I could be here with the family a while) Tigger is a Service Animal specifically a Therapy Dog who replaced a full size Service Animal (Thunder was a Champion Racer prior to training him for Service -- I have Multiple Sclerosis and he helped with balance and mobility. When Thunder was 12 he was hit with bone cancer an I ultimately had to put him to sleep - after months on pain and other meds. Tigger has helped with the grief.) So, to put my baby through this mess is killing me. Tigger is part Chihuahua part Pomeranian and just turned 13. I am seeing SOME relief but not a cure. I am praying for a cure. I only ordered what I could afford (Those of us who find ourselves disabled after years and years of working also find that there are no funds available to help with the excessive cost of treating their loves with Vet care when something happens. Cancer was expensive. Dermatitis is expensive. (If ever I won Publisher's Clearing House I would establish a Foundation to help Service Animals and their owner/operators provide the BEST care for their Animals.) However, no cure yet. I received 4 bottles for purchasing 3 -- not realizing they were so small -- so, it is going to take weeks before I know fir sure if this is working.) But, it appears to helping, slowly. I will purchase as many bottles as I am able when my Social Security Disability deposits on the 3rd of next month. Thank you. I didn't want to put more Prednisone in his system. I worry about his kidneys and liver.
