If I could give Vertex Car Inc. zero stars, I would. Save yourself the stress, wasted time, and money—stay far away from this company! We initially booked with Vertex Car Inc. to ship our car after receiving a quote for $700. Everything seemed fine until the scheduled pickup day arrived. They called us at the last minute claiming the driver was "stuck somewhere" and pushed our pickup back by two days. When the second pickup day rolled around, the real nightmare began. They called us again, but instead of picking up the car, they tripled the original price to $2,100! After hours of arguing back and forth on the phone with both an agent and a supervisor—getting absolutely zero reasonable explanations—they "generously" reduced the price to $1,400. That is still double the original quote and significantly higher than every other auto transport company on the market. By this point, we had already moved out of state. Because Vertex Car Inc. jerked us around and wasted so much critical time, we couldn't secure another last-minute carrier ourselves. We had to ask our neighbor to step in, pick up our vehicle, and coordinate with a different transport company. To make matters worse: * Delayed Delivery: Because of the delay Vertex Car Inc. caused, our car arrived long after we did. * Extra Out-of-Pocket Costs: We had to pay $250 for a rental car at our new destination while waiting for our vehicle. * Refund Nightmare: We immediately canceled our agreement, but it took two weeks and relentless follow-up calls just to get our initial deposit refunded. Vertex Car Inc. wasted our time, cost us extra money, caused immense stress during an already hectic move, and subjected us to hours of useless customer service phone calls. They operate on shady bait-and-switch tactics. Do not trust them with your vehicle or your money!

Fixed $2,400 agreement turned into $3,960 — DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Do not hire Vertex Carship. This company ripped me off through bait-and-switch pricing. Vertex originally agreed to transport my 2011 Mazda CX-9 and 1997 Ford F-150 for approximately $1,800. When they supposedly could not find a driver at that price, I negotiated a new written agreement for exactly $2,400. The agreement says the price is “fixed, final, all-inclusive” and cannot be increased by Vertex or the assigned carrier. I paid Vertex $260, leaving $2,140 under that agreement. Instead, the carrier Vertex hired demanded another $3,700 in cash before releasing my vehicles. I ended up paying $3,960 total—$1,560 more than the written contract price. Vertex now claims I verbally authorized the higher amount during an emergency after an earlier pickup failed. I never signed another contract replacing the fixed $2,400 agreement. Vertex has not produced a later signed amendment containing the higher price. The carrier’s own records show that $3,300 of my cash was treated as carrier pay and another $400 was sent back to Vertex as a broker fee. After Vertex received that $400, the communications show an immediate request for a five-star Trustpilot review. I demanded the return of the $1,560 overpayment. Vertex refused. I have filed complaints with the FTC, FMCSA, Texas Department of Motor Vehicles, and other state agencies. This was the worst transportation experience I have ever had. The price kept changing, drivers failed to complete the original pickup, and I spent weeks not knowing whether I would ever recover my vehicles. My advice is simple: do not rely on a telephone promise. Price wasn't what we first discussed. It went from 1300 to 4000 this was after Scott said numerous times it wouldn't go up. Then on the day of shipping it went up. I didn't have a choice but to use them. Then when I received the vehicles the back window was broken. I've reached out to the claims company for the repairs but still haven't received a call or email back. I would definitely recommend going somewhere else. Scott is who I delt with. Not worth the hassle.

Awful experience! They ‘had a driver’ and we paid the $200 deposit. Then he never showed up. He ‘broke down’ on the way. Didn’t find another driver and now headed to small claims court for the $200 they won’t refund. SCAM!!!!
