Used Veo for the first time. Terrible experience. They charged me for not leaving the bike in a drop off area. I left it where I found it with a whole lot of other bikes near Santa Monica pier. The app would not let me end the ride and gave no explanation nor did it say I could not drop the bike there. Contacted Customer Service and they were not interested in helping a first time customer. Will never use them again.

I am filing this complaint because Veo…
I am filing this complaint because Veo charged me for a defective bicycle that was unsafe to operate, refused to take responsibility after I reported the safety issue, instructed me to continue riding or moving an unsafe bicycle despite the risk of injury, and repeatedly refused to provide a reasonable resolution. In addition, Veo charged my wife's account for two bicycles that were never used.
On the day of the incident, my wife and I each rented separate Veo bicycles. Shortly after beginning my ride, I realized the rear tire on my bicycle was completely flat. The bicycle immediately began fishtailing, causing me to nearly crash multiple times. It was obvious that continuing to ride the bicycle posed a serious safety risk to myself, other people, nearby vehicles, and even the bicycle itself.
Rather than continue operating a defective bicycle, I immediately pulled over in the first safe location available. I parked the bicycle on the sidewalk next to a designated Bird scooter parking area, completely out of the way of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. This was the furthest I could safely take the bicycle without risking injury or causing additional damage.
I immediately contacted Veo customer support through the app. The representative, Gulraiz, refused to cancel the ride or issue a refund because of where I had parked the bicycle. Despite explaining that the bicycle was unsafe to ride due to the flat rear tire, I was told nothing could be done. Meanwhile, Veo continued charging my account in approximately $10 increments (at the time of writing they have charged at least $90) while I was no longer using the bicycle and had already reported that it was defective.
Because Veo refused to end the ride, I was unable to rent another bicycle and was forced to walk the remainder of my trip home.
After arriving home, I contacted Veo customer support by telephone. I again explained the entire situation to another representative. His response was that I would have to walk several miles back to the defective bicycle and move it myself or Veo would continue charging me for the ride.
I explained multiple times that this was unreasonable and unsafe. The bicycle had a flat rear tire that had already nearly caused multiple accidents. Walking several miles back simply to move a defective bicycle would have required me to either ride an unsafe bicycle again or otherwise place myself at unnecessary risk because of Veo's equipment failure.
The representative nevertheless confirmed that those were my only options. I specifically informed him that the call was being recorded and asked him to confirm again that Veo expected me to return to the defective bicycle or continue being charged. He confirmed that was Veo's position. When I questioned how that could possibly be an acceptable safety policy, he stated that if I did not like it, he did not care, and then hung up on me.
I called Veo a third time and spoke with another representative named Edward. By this point, I had explained the exact same situation four separate times through customer support and phone calls.
Edward stated that he would cancel the ride but that I would still be responsible for paying half of the total charges.
I asked him repeatedly how Veo could justify charging a customer for a bicycle that was defective, unsafe to operate, and unusable. I explained that I received virtually no benefit from the rental because I stopped immediately after discovering the dangerous condition. It made no sense that Veo's response to providing unsafe equipment was essentially, "Our defective bicycle nearly caused an accident, but you still have to pay."
Edward repeatedly stated that this was simply Veo's policy.
I then asked him several times to locate and read the policy that supposedly required charging customers for defective bicycles that could not be safely ridden. Edward admitted that he did not actually know the policy and could not point to any written policy supporting what he was telling me. He simply continued repeating that it was Veo's policy.
All of these customer service calls were recorded by Veo and can be reviewed. They will confirm exactly what occurred, including Veo's refusal to prioritize customer safety, the instruction that I return to a dangerous bicycle despite the known defect, the representative hanging up on me, and the admission that the alleged policy could not even be identified by Veo's own employee.
To make matters worse, my wife's account was also charged for two additional bicycles that were never used. Those charges appear to be entirely unauthorized and further demonstrate significant problems with Veo's billing practices. I am demanding a refund and there needs to be a review of their policies and procedures.

Holding your money is embezzlement …
They steal your money and hold on to it to collect free money off of interest, its theft because I can't collect interest on the money they stole but they can

STAY AWAY!!!
Stay away and beware of their fraudulent actions! Never give them you credit card credentials! They take unauthorized, multiple charges on your cc and once you contact them asking for explanation, they either provide you evasive and contradictory answers or hang up on you with an arrogant tone as if you were the fraudsters (agent Jeff to be precise!). Typical for scammers like that… Never trust this company, it is a scam. Would give them -10 stars if I could. Regret my entire experience with them big time. I rarely leave reviews, but I wish people avoid this fraudulent company and save themselves time, grief and money loss.

I had unlocked a bike and had issues…
I had unlocked a bike and had issues with the speaker. I solved that issue in 3 minutes. I than tried to ride the bike and it would not move. I even checked the wheels and kept pushing the throttle. I pay monthly for access membership. Therefore I get 30 minutes free a day. I eventually walked and grabbed another bike and charged $5.38. I assumed they would refund...No!! After numerous emails and talking to customer service! Reason being I didn't IMMEDIATELY END THE RIDE. Are you serious over $5.38. That's not customer service when you're product failed to work. Bike did not move and left in same location. I should of been giving a refund for faulty bike.
