I recently purchased the Soluta black woven top handle bag. As a leather bag enthusiast and designer, I can tell you this bag is slightly overpriced. It's not horrible considering the affordable price tag, with the discount, but it feels like a mass-produced bag you might find at H&M or Zara. The construction is where things go downhill. The flap is simply too short for the expansion the bag is supposed to accommodate. The leather feels very cheap, and the hand feel is just below average. The hardware is mid-tier, and the zipper requires a bit of a tug to work smoothly. Overall, the stitching and construction feel very rushed. I should have known better while their emails and communication make it sound like your bag is being made to order, I received a shipping notification the very next day. Price-wise, there are many lower-end bags at this tier, but given the brand's marketing—which heavily implies these bags are carefully crafted it doesn't meet my expectations. That said, it will most likely satisfy people who don't have a deep understanding of bag construction, and I'm sure it will hold up to everyday use. I might take a look at some of their other models in the future, but this one missed the mark for me.

I just received my third bag from Vellatini. The first was not the quality I expected, but I was offered (repeatedly) to get another bag heavily discounted instead of returning, so I purchased another color in hopes the quality would be better. I had initially ordered two bags, the second took ages to arrive and showed up with three of the snaps completely ripped through the cheap leather. My replacement bag of the original finally arrived (also on backorder for twice as long as expected), still poor quality. The leather is an odd shiny finish that doesn’t patina or even really look to be leather. The zipper sticks. When I asked to return the bag that arrived damaged I was offered first one free bag instead of a return, then I was offered TWO free bags instead of a return. After arguing with their AI chat bots in customer service for days, they finally returned my money and didn’t ask to return the bag. If they are giving things away at this rate, I feel bad for anyone who ever paid full price or even the deep discounted prices they constantly offer on Instagram. The repeated emails from “the Italian craftsman working hard to make your bag by hand” just solidify that this brand is another sweat shop being ran by AI. I also love that when they send the email asking for a review here and you choose “not satisfied” it’s blocks your ability to review. Way to be “trust”worthy on Trustpilot.
