I sent sent to this place by my primary doctor for swelling of my ankles. Before they knew my diagnosis they were very excited to charge my insurance for treatment. They do the test and vaguely tell me is Lymphedeme and give an address to go for therapy. Well an order is needed for that, which after several attempts in getting it NO one replied. So I end up going to a Vascular doctor and come to find out I dont have Lymphedeme and I do have venous insufficiency. Funny thing is that is what this place was looking for and didnt get result due to their close minded testing.

Staff was very nice, but that is not the reason I went there. They wanted to do the laser treatment but claimed my insurance would not cover the procedure, so they went with Sclerotherapy. After treatment I noticed very little difference and I was told it could take weeks if not months to see and feel the difference. Well it has been several months since and I still have the condition I had before I went there. The veins and the soreness.

My legs look worse since having all the procedures and following the instructions of the staff. I was instructed to use bio oil on my legs to help reduce the “staining”....does not work at all. The staff are so pleasant and it is a great atmosphere but the procedure is such a waste of money and time. My legs are such a huge embarrassment.

Staff were extremely courteous and nice but my issues are more with disclosing ALL possible problems/side effects associated with treatment for vein disease and especially the duration that these issues may persist. Of course there are variations amongst patients but previous medical procedures/surgeries that I have had all possible scenarios were discussed prior to the procedure. At Vein Clinics not all possible side effects were discussed or included in the folder of information and the information on side effects that was discussed or in folder was downplayed. I am at 6 months post treatment and I still have numbness and daily ankle swelling in both legs. I originally sought treatment for thigh discomfort...no pain in one leg. I did not have any symptoms anywhere else yet I feel Vein Clinics was too aggressive in my treatment because they treated both legs despite the fact that I did not present with any visual or physical symptoms on my part. Possibly I might have needed treatment a few years later but my other leg was not bothering me at all. I feel that I am worse off than before I started treatment. My quality of life is definitely worse since I went to Vein Clinics.

Since I started treatment a year ago I still have bruises.

Bad weather and my husband went and to his appointment, an hour away in ice. The doctor got caught in traffic and they called my husband to say they have to reschedule his 9:45 appt. He was halfway there and asked if he could come in anyway and wait for up to an hour or so for his appt. They said yes. He makes it to the building and gets a call that the doctor will be in at 10:00 a.m. but will NOT see any of the appts scheduled before that. So the 9:45 a.m. appt was cancelled while he was sitting in the parking lot. BAD, BAD service. My husband makes $60/hr, so that is time lost, almost 4 hours. Yes it was bad weather but a very bad call from the ONE doctor at this franchise.

Houtson, Texas First, I felt very processed, nothing was personal. My overall impression is that they try to get you to do the most invasive procedure they can. In my case, I had seen another vein clinic in another city but couldn't go through with sclero therapy there because of a work transfer to another city. That said, I go to VCA to arrange treatment and of course, they suggested the most invasive procedure available. Another thing that really bothered me was the tech that did the ultra sound was going so high with the probe he bumped my lady parts over and over. It was so unsettling, so gross, I couldn't get out of there fast enough. After speaking to the doctor it was clear to me that they thought they had a "cash cow" because all procedures were covered by insurance. When I told the doctor I wanted to start with scalero therapy and see the results he said that "he is not a cowboy of the vein clinic and shutting down my GSV (great saphenous vein) was the only thing he would do" Well... when I asked him the difference in the cost of the procedure he became irritated and walked me to the door. I also told him that based on the ultrasound it didn't appear shutting down my GSV was the most conservative option and did was money his incentive? No answer. To the door I went..... don't let it hit you on the way out!! So along with being groped by the ultrasound tech and not allowing this doctor to collapse a major vein in my leg I will not be back nor will I recommend them.
