I had a not so great first experience…
I had a not so great first experience with the Vein Clinic. I reached out to them from a facebook advertisement and was flooded with many phone calls. At my first appointment I had to call prior to coming into the office due to Covid, this was not even the direct phone number to the office and once allowed into office it was a cold exchange, look I understand for everyone's safety doctors have to be safe making sure no one comes in sick to their offices; but there is a way to handle this without making the patient feel dirty or unwelcomed and that is how I felt. I almost walked out! I did go back with the initial nurse to be checked in and to say the least my blood pressure was quite high due to the earlier situation, she was rude on the way to take my blood pressure and anyone knows that you do not take a BP over a heavy sweater, I offered to roll up my sleeve and she refused my suggestion. Listen to your patients. Needless after some time waiting my BP did go down and I was talked to by another intake nurse explaining everything; she was quite nice and helpful. I had 5 interactions with several different people in the office and I believe that is too impersonal and I did not care for that(especially due to COVID, that's kind of an oxymoron, don't you think)? I told them that I did not have my appointment book to reschedule another appointment and I was told my the office manager, Sue (who was 1 of the staff I met that day) that she would call me back. To this day, I have not received a phone call or had a voicemail to call back to schedule another appointment for the next step. I am still on the fence about returning to this office.
