I bought a $599 lifetime deal for VBOUT on AppSumo. Somehow I was unable to ever get the account setup. I have tried multiple times to resolve it but the VBOUT support just try to shift the onus to AppSumo, who can't possibly know which email address I used.
In other words, VBOUT is intentionally giving me the runaround so they don't have to redeem my license code.
In fewer words, they're SCAMMERS.
UPDATE: They contacted me contacted me trying to get me to spend more money, something about a 50% discount. Nonsense. I wouldn't give them another penny.
Let this speak volumes to you who might consider doing business with these reprobates.
+ They have no honor.
+ They do not deal fairly.
+ They are not to be trusted.
I tried to activate right after I purchased. It didn't work. Then I got busy and forgot about it. If they weren't greedy chislers looking for a loophole to not honor the deal they would have activated the account.
And, they can reply to my complaint and try to dismiss it, but you can plainly see, they are NOT the kind of company you want to deal with. Period.
They're so corrupt they tried to have my review deleted, lying that it isn't based on a real experience. I have the invoice. I can prove that it is. This is just another example of how crooked they are.
UPDATE: They apparently just requested "more information" through Trustpilot. But, they had all of the information they needed already. What they were hoping for was a default, that is, they were hoping I would not respond so that this negative rating that they so totally deserve, would be removed by default. No such luck. They could have handled my situation in an honorable manner and I would have retracted the review. But, that would have required them to be honorable. This bogus "more information" ploy is yet another dishonest attempt to prevent other potential victims from seeing them for what they are.

We understand your frustration, which is why we also checked this matter directly with AppSumo.
AppSumo confirmed the relevant purchase and activation details with us and also expressed their regret regarding the situation that is currently unfolding, including the repeated 1-star review activity.
Your license was purchased in 2022, but it was not activated within the required activation period. The AppSumo deal terms clearly stated that licenses not activated within that period would no longer be accessible.
It is also important to clarify that purchasing an AppSumo license does not automatically activate it. The customer must complete the activation process, which is what associates the purchased license with the customer’s VBOUT account. In your case, the license activation was only attempted on April 17, 2025, after the applicable activation period had already expired and the AppSumo integration had already been revoked, as we are no longer running AppSumo deals.
Thousands of AppSumo licenses were successfully activated and used with VBOUT, and this is the first time we have encountered this particular situation. We have followed the same activation process and terms for all AppSumo customers.
We also checked the email addresses you provided against our records and could not find an active VBOUT account associated with them. We have been transparent about this throughout our communication and involved AppSumo Support to help verify the matter.
Regarding the 50% discount we offered, this was simply a goodwill gesture in case you still wanted to use VBOUT. It was completely optional and was not a requirement for resolving or activating your AppSumo license. We offered it as an opportunity for you to continue using VBOUT at a reduced price despite the fact that the original activation period had already expired.
At this point, creating a new account under the old AppSumo license would not be a simple manual process. Since the original AppSumo integration has been revoked, it would require development work on both the VBOUT and AppSumo sides to establish the necessary integration and activation flow again. This is another reason why we cannot simply create a new account manually based on a license code.
We are happy to honor valid, properly activated licenses in accordance with the terms of the AppSumo deal. However, we cannot create a new free account several years after the activation deadline for a license that was not activated within the required period.
We encourage anyone reading this review to consider the documented information confirmed by AppSumo rather than the characterizations made in this review. The key facts are that the license was purchased in 2022, activation was not completed within the required period, and the activation attempt occurred on April 17, 2025.
We have explained the situation transparently and based on the records available to us. We stand by the terms of the original deal and the information confirmed through our review of this case.

Vbout offers amazing services and support
Vbout offers a great service. Marketing automations, email campaigns, social media post scheduling, plenty more, including API access. These are all top of the line, but really what's truly amazing is their customer service and support! Using their chat within their wide range of business hours always gets an immediate and extremely helpful response. Outside of operating hours, they're still more responsive than I would expect. I WISH other businesses provided service and support even near this quality!

I encountered issues with the email…
I encountered issues with the email marketing plugin on my website. It sometimes didn't work accurately, frequently caused system overload, and various other errors, which was quite frustrating. Just when things were at their worst, a friend introduced me to Vbout. I purchased and used it for a few months, and it's been fantastic. Vbout completely replaced my old email marketing system.
