Vamoose BusReviews of vamoosebus.com

Vamoose bus is a fast convinient ride. The drivers are good natured and humorous. Best of all, the many dozens of rides I have been on have been very punctual. This past weekend it was half empty but set off on the dot of time from NY. No waiting to see if any more people will turn up.

There has never been an intro, comments re noise level, cell use, etc etc when they are not present. Bathroom has also not been as well maintained (alcohol rub materials). Driving has always been safe and respectful, luggage is always promptly available on arrival

Many friends talked very highly of the Vamoose Bus experience, and I agree with them. Very organized from ordering the tickets on-line, to the person checking us in at the bus stop, to the baggage handlers, and a clean environment - both inside and out. All the personnel were friendly. The drive to NYC was very smooth, on-time and we felt safe. However, the drive back the driver was more "horn happy" with beeping at vehicles while driving down the highway at 65 miles per hour. One situation is the driver needed to get in the right lane but there was a car there so instead of waiting until the car passed or the bus driver slowing down to get behind the car, the driver beeped at the car several times for them to move along. Suggestions for riders: Arrive early if you have a preference as to where you want to sit. Usually by 30 min before departure, long line has already been created. Also bring a coat for the inside temperature is very cold.

I appreciate that Vamoose bus tends to get in either on time or ahead of schedule

This is a better alternative to Amtrak. Staff at Bethesda MD are very helpful and courteous than in NY Penn station. I choose Vamoose for the convenient pick up drop off locations, comfortable seats, and of course value.

I travel with Vammose at least 10-15 times a year. I love the service from Arlington but not so much the one in NYC. I think that the NYC station should have a seat ticket system where vamoose give the customers in line a ticket indication their place in line rather than making the customer stand there for an hour or so. I have motion sickness and so I need to get there early to make sure I get front row seats. And it's tough to be in line during rain or winter weather for a long period of time. I also travel with my kids sometimes and is also tough to make kids stand there for a long period of time. With the number system customer can come back to the line close to boarding time and not loose their place in line.

I used Vamoose for a round trip NY/Bethesda. To Bethesda I took the regular bus which was ok but no better than the competitors. Returning to NY I took the Gold bus and that was excellent. The only problem is that you can not choose a seat while doing your reservation.

Good drivers and a very good value!!!
