I caught the bus from Bethesda to NYC on a Friday morning. Normal ride, no issues until we switched drivers in Delaware. This driver was dangerous! Speeding over potholes, swerving in lanes.....finally, as we entered the toll for the Lincoln Tunnel, our driver cut off another vehicle and it smashed into a rail! We were delayed at the tunnel for over an hour, he never spoke to us, we were all shaken up and especially worried about the driver and passengers of the car he cut off. It was frightening! The driver never explained what was going on, never said anything. When I called the main office, the operator was blasé. The only thing she said was, "we will investigate," and hung up. I am NEVER using this service again and I wish I could get my next trip refunded so I can use another service. This is despicable.

The bus driver was very curt and mean to all bus riders when singling out several times 1 person's cell phone ringer volume (person understood very little English so did not know to silent ringer) and others standing to remove items from the overhead. AC was very cold on route to NYC and no one wanted to say anything for fear of being yelled at or other. The bus' bathroom had no toilet paper and flush broken.

My driver on Saturday, July 25th, leaving from Lorton, VA at 10:50am was absolutely terrible. She had stopped the bus for her convenience for 4-5 minutes and prohibited everyone else to get off. This was not fair because she had to use the restroom, and so did the rest of us. If we were not allowed off the bus, neither should she. She then stopped the bus and yelled at the entire bus. She was a terrible driver, took a longer route, and was completely rude. I will never ride with Vamoose again and you should not let her work with your company either if you want to keep the same customers!

On July 19th, we had a very bad experience with Vamoose on our trip to NYC from MD. First, few minutes before departure time at Bethesda, we were asked to get off the bus and transfer to another bus. That inconvenienced us since we already setup comfortably on our seats. Then, few miles after leaving Bethesda, the AC started acting up. The AC eventually gave and it quickly became the most brutal ride I've ever experienced with Vamoose. Bad, very bad experience.

I USED THIS COMPANY FOR THE FIRST TIME 2 WEEKS AGO FROM NYC TO WASHINGTON DC. THEY MADE ME PAY FULL FARE FOR A ONE YEAR OLD CHARGE WHICH WAS $80 FOR A ROUND TRIP ON TOP OF THE $80 THAT I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR ME. MY CHILD WAS SITTING ON MY LAP THE WHOLE TIME AND NEVER USED THE OTHER SEAT THAT I PAID FOR!!!!! THIS IS A SCAM. CHILDREN ALWAYS HAVE REDUCED FARES NOT ADULT FARES. I WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN!

I am sorry to report that your gold bus I traveled on last Thursday, May 7th, had a terrible odor and inessential heat coming out of the toilet. Moreover, there was no railing in the bathroom and I bumped my head while using the facility. I am appalled by these conditions.

I gave Vamoose a shot because of the convenience of its pickup/dropoff locations for my trip from NYC to VA. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed and concerned by my experience. I took the last bus of the evening, 8:45 pm with an estimated 5-5.5 hours to my destination of Lorton, VA. Boarding the bus, I saw how legroom was nonexistent, but also outlets were in short supply, with only a few seats with access to an outlet. The truly upsetting piece was when we all had to disembark the bus at Bethesda and get into an Arlington-bound van at 12:45 in the morning. There was no mention of this on the itinerary or at any time during the journey. When the Lorton bound passengers asked where the van was headed and if we would still be taken to our destination past Arlington, we were told, "I don't know. But you have to get off the bus. Grab your stuff." Unbelievable and unsafe. The van driver gave us an incredibly bumpy ride from Bethesda to Arlington, and only upon reaching Arlington were we reassured that we would be taken to Lorton. I cannot believe the way this trip was handled. Vamoose was actually far more expensive than comparable bus services, and with this kind of sketchy handling of my itinerary, I'm better off using a bus that doesn't give me nasty surprises. Other bus lines have actual legroom, outlets at every seat, and they don't make you disembark randomly in the middle of the night. Choose one of them.
