A-Z Moving and Storage LLCReviews of valueaddedmoving.com

SCAM! They stole my deposit. They stated very clearly on the call I would have 72 hrs to cancel and receive my money back. I canceled within the grace period they did not refund my money. DO NOT USE THEM AND DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!

My experience was HORRIBLE and fraudulent. Exactly as others have stated. I wish I had found this website prior to signing with them. NOTHING has been as quoted. I should have known when I was transferred to "the manager" and got a lower price that they were a dishonest company. I tried for multiple days to fix my inventory list without any response. Then the movers showed up a day later than their "2 day window" (now my husband has to take a day off from work). The movers immediately demand more money. The movers know that you have no choice at this point. (We had sold our house and were having the closing the next day). Again, I called multiple times to customer service and was told they would "look into it and get back to me". Of course, no one ever did. Now the "30 days of free storage" has changed. The company never communicates with me. Aiden, my company representative who assured me that everything was flexible and he would be my "go to person", hasn't answered his phone since getting me to sign with the company. DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY!

I had a traumatic experience with this company and caution everyone to steer clear of them. They are dishonest and lack integrity and tried to steal almost $3,000 from me even though I cancelled my move well within the 72 hour period. Scott Fineman became verbally abusive to me when I requested to cancel my move and the company would not confirm receipt of my email cancellation in writing. Fortunately my bank was able to identify this fraudulent activity and I was able to put an alert on the account they had access to. I will be reporting this business and hope no one else gets fooled by them.

Added Value Moving Company is an absolute scam, and I regret ever trusting them. What starts as a “great deal” quickly turns into a complete bait-and-switch. They lure you in with a low estimate, then once your belongings are essentially held hostage, the price magically triples. There is zero transparency and zero accountability. To make matters worse, they are not even an actual moving company—they’re a broker. None of this was made clear upfront. Every single thing they told me during the booking process turned out to be false. The timeline, the pricing, the services—none of it was accurate. By the time the movers show up, you’re stuck. You either pay the inflated price or risk not getting your belongings moved at all. It’s manipulative, dishonest, and completely unethical. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the headache. Stay far away from this company.

I’m leaving a negative review for moving company that scammed me: “Responsible for bait and switch scam. My initial quote was $3400. After putting about 1/3 of my belongings on the truck, and company returned and said I had “too much stuff,” despite already going through everything I owned and said my new quote was $19000. Then they wanted more money to cancel and take my belongings off the truck. I was forced to cancel my flight and drive the remainder across the country myself. Laughably malevolent scam. Upon researching the company they brokered me with, they have an F rating with the better business bureau, and there are 100s of reviews of the same bait and switch scam, including taking advantage of elderly people and those with disabilities/disabled children. It’s bewildering how they’re still in business and the owners aren’t in prison. Currently in the midst of suing all parties involved

UPDATE: the business replied to this review today, August 26, 2026, stating it’s not the same business. Go back and look at other reviews calling them “Value Added” and you’ll pretty easily discover that they simply changed their name. “A-Z Moving” was also mentioned on the paperwork I had regarding this experience, which only furthers the scam. I moved at the end of March and to this day they still have no responded to my damage claims after breaking several family heirlooms. I’m going to go ahead and stand by my review. UPDATE: 8/27/26 I wake up to an email sent late last night that my claim is being extended. “ We are notifying you that additional time is required to complete the investigation of your claim. When a claim review cannot be completed within the time allowed by law, we are required to notify you in writing that an extension is necessary.” So now on top of the 180 days I have already waited they now have an additional 60 days. This really only feels retaliatory to my update yesterday. At this point I’m going to the BBB and looking into legal action. Please do not fall for their scams like I and so many others did. (End of edits) I was quoted for estimates that they VASTLY underestimated. Day of move and the company here tells me how Value Added uses AI and software that severely underestimates and doesn’t do a good job at all. Value Added also gave me a delivery date estimate that is vastly different. I am paying over double the estimated cost and waiting over quadruple the estimated time for delivery. When I paid my deposit they also took out another customer’s deposit from my account as well…while they did pay me back quickly it is clear that this whole operation is unprofessional. Don’t even bother with these guys. It’s a scam at worst and incompetence at best.

I am in actual tears writing this I fought 2 years in court to get a storage building that I had with a previous marriage with only my kids things child hood memories I finally got it scheduled movers immediately and this company made it sound so so sweet told me 1800 got out to my storage in Virgina taking it to me in Tennessee they tell once they arrived to VA storage almost triple more the price I laugh and say no way you guys are a scam no thanks please leave and retune key back to the front the guy at my storage calls says they left gave them back the key .,,, several hours later at 9 at night they call and text demanding payment with pictures of all my items in the back of the truck with already taking my $800 deposit and now holding my things hostage days later I do not no where my stuff is have not heard a word from anyone I got in touch with the police they started a investigation getting all video footage and they already have a lead on where to head so I’m praying we get some news soon !!!!! What ever you do !!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! So evil and deceitful!!!!!!! Truly heartbroken

I would not recommend this moving company. I was given an initial quote, but the final bill ended up being much higher due to added charges that were not properly disclosed beforehand. There was little transparency, and I felt taken advantage of during a vulnerable time. A reputable company should stand by their estimate or clearly explain any potential additional costs in advance. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
