This is a solid five star company, their commitment towards excellence has been unwavering for the last 3 decades that I’ve been a customer. There isn’t another product I’ve ever owned for nearly 30 years of continuous use that has been more reliable or effective at returning its original cost, several times over. I’m also quite happy that my Valentine is American designed & made. I have the option to send it back for improvements or for repairs, if ever needed. This company is a keeper.

I’ve owned 3 different valentine one detectors. The new V1 Gen 2 detector is absolutely amazing. I’ve never gotten so much warning before radar speed trap. I waited to get a new one until my old one finally burned out. Which took over 20 years! Their products are built to last. I wouldn’t buy anything else. I’m customer for life.

Valentine has the very best product on the market and I've had en all. But their customer service makes you feel like part of the Valentine family. Upgrades are practically free. Thanks Mike for the arrows. And side by side against the rest that just go beep? Our detector goes off first. Ive often said… i owe mike valentine 100/mo for saving me thousands of dollars. The Gen 2 is unbelievably long ranged. Combined with a hidden laser jammer…. Ive been ticketless for 14 years. “Once you have arrows? You cant live without them” -Facts.

Been using Valentine from the start. Repairs and upgrades are very reasonable and easy. The only speeding tickets I've gotten are when being paced or VASCAR. Great product and customer support!

What can I say about Valentine One? Well, I bought my first V1G1 in 1998, and it has saved me more money than I can think of. It has worked so flawlessly over the last 28 years that I decided to upgrade it a couple of weeks ago. My overall cost of operation of this unit was $14.25 per year. I dropped it in the mail and it was upgraded and returned to me in exactly 1.5 weeks. My hat is off to V1. I am sorry for Mike's loss. Hate to see a legend pass. I have been so impressed with this upgrade, I immediately sent my second V1G1 in for an upgrade as well. Thanks, guys, yall are still doing a great job.

This is my second review on this great radar detector (V1 Gen 2). I had it for almost 6 years now and it has been solid. I absolutely love the simplistic design and compact size and light weight, particularly I love the magnesium casing. I also like the non-kinked cord, unlike the other competitors the Valentine power cord is thin and can be tucked into grooves and rubber trims easily. I also like the two software updates that we receive every year, that tells you that this company is committed to stay in par with the technology. I live in Arizona and the car can get easily in the 130-150F degrees inside in the summer so I would say that rarely the detector shuts off(very rarely) but I think is because of a temperature failsafe mechanism, I don't leave the detector when I park but when I use it it gets direct sun light and rarely shut off for a few minutes. The mounts are solid, still using the original ones. Valentine sells a set of 4 suction cups for a dollar so they are awesome. The radar itself mounts perfectly, it is so simplistic and so quiet, no bouncing, no rubbing, no plastic noises and so easy to adjust the angle. As far is the performance I would say that this radar detector is a beast, I had a solid signal one time in the city at 2.4 miles from a motorcycle cop, I am sure it would have detected it even longer but it was a scenario where I turned into an avenue at 90 degree and I got all full legs on display. I wholeheartedly recommend this radar detector, it is a top radar detector and is fairly quiet, it filters very well. For the record, I also run Uniden flagship(R8W) and Escort flagship as well (redline 360C), both of these detectors comes with more features too but I am telling you that the V1 Gen 2 is toe to toe with the other ones and slightly better at some things (price for instance) or the magnesium casing or the solid customer support with the software updates or the fact that you get a hardwire install kit for free.
