VAGupdate Automotive LLCReviews of vagupdate.com

Please do not give them money. Do not repeat our mistakes. They are (are they? I believe this is one person scam "company") trying their best to appear as official and kinda affiliated to dealers. In fact, they are just bunch of a******s who are making money on poor people just like me. My local dealer confirmed – they are impersonating official dealers, but in fact scammers.

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered a product and when it arrived it’s obviously second hand and broken too. Did some homework and seems they take orders then order the cheapest from AliExpress but seems they didn’t know it was used. Tried to resolve but totally ignored and lied too. Avoid these scammers at all costs. Plus I noticed they are selling software/firmware at bloated prices which is free to download from the web.. AVOID AVOID

They sold me an older software version, which of course causes a fault code to be stored afterwards since you're not suppose to go BACKWARDS when UPDATING. Then they went ghost on me and stopped responding to my messages and emails. A scam, stay away at all costs. I filed a chargeback through my bank for a refund, but now I'm stuck with an older software version, a fault code stored in VCDS, and no way to get my newer version back. Not to mention that you can get these update files for free on MIB Solution, but unfortunately, the software version I had is not available to the public, so I'm at a loss. We should all get together and file a lawsuit against this company. At least my radio still works I guess...

Scam site - purchased a VW update last week on VAGupdate and its a total scam as they dont respond or send any update just take your money. Have called them, sent several email, sent message on Whatsup no respons whatsoever. Stay away from this site they just take your money its a scam site even if it look rather professional.

Purchased a service that got billed 3 times by mistake so 2 of the 3 were refunded. When receiving the intended product it was working incorrectly. Have been unable to receive any support. So I requested a refund directly from them. Funny enough, soon after. All refunds for prior products were canceled so even though I consented to the purchase of one product I've been billed 3 times. Even called the dealership that this company claims to be headquartered at, and they said they're phonies that falsely use their address all the time and they're going to pursue a cease and desist.

They charge money from me, a year efter i cancelled my subribction. and don't answer any emails or their live. i am going to the police they are frauding people.

Replied that they could not complete the order, and returned $ 100 of $ 300

Update 17/Feb/2025: This seller now makes fake claims that have no grounds at all, please check their reply to my original review below. To VAGUpdate, feel free to post anything here from what you claim that I "threatened" you with. You are by far the worst seller I have ever dealt with. Original review below... Order #7357 Unfortunately like others, VAGUpdate went dark after the order was placed. The order process was swift, I've even sent initial queries about the process and they were responding swiftly to my emails and my chats on their website, so I was initially happy. After placing the order, I quickly received full instructions and the download link for the firmware upgrade to my VW Sharaan MIB2 box. However the version they sent did not match my car and upgrade failed. I've been chasing them ever since and not a single reply is received from them. I've sent them over 5 emails, for more than a week now, and called their number (which only forwarded to a voicemail from an Asterisk box) and left a message, and requested at least a refund, but they are not replying at all. It seems that if the download works, the order is fine, if not, then your money is lost and you will not get a reply from them. I am really disappointed with this fact, as the initial process was really convenient, but why would they not reply is just beyond me. Therefore I would advise that you would avoid and not risk ordering a firmware upgrade from them, and I will be chasing my bank to see what my options are regarding a refund.
