Was not worth the hassle
I've been trying to use a Vagon virtual machine to offload some After Effects rendering and have just found the process painful. Even on an excellent connection it's laggy. Mine randomly started to select all files in a given folder if I left clicked on a file, and the only way I could stop it was to shutdown and restart the machine. I have to sign into Adobe each time when starting a machine back up presumably because your machine changes each time rather than having the same one so your ID isn't the same each time. Uploading files - sometimes they just don't appear and has to be done again and again... just a painful experience really. Uploading screen turning plain white for no reason. I can't list all the bugs I've experience as it would take too long. I've put an extra star because at least with much pain I got at least some renders out of it, but apart from that it's been a terrible experience. I tried using Vagon a few years ago and the experience was exactly the same and nothing's changed since then.

Hi Daniel, Thank you for sharing your feedback. Vagon is built to support demanding creative workflows, including After Effects rendering. Many factors, including the selected computer, server region, local connection, and application settings, can influence the experience. The Adobe sign-in, file-selection, and upload behavior you described would require a closer look at the specific sessions involved. Please contact [email protected] from your Vagon account email and reference this review. Our team will be able to review the technical details and assist accordingly. Best, Vagon Team
