Place was ok, but not worth the money. Also there was a hidden cost for everything. will not use again and would not recommend to my worst enemy. Was a last min. booking and I regret doing it. Please find another place.

Not giving correct information

Cheryl, this is Mike Janes, I am Chief Marketing Officer of Vacatia. I was just going through your reservation and emails with our Guest Care team to ascertain what might be the source of your feedback. I am glad to see that you thought the resort was beautiful and loved the view of the lake. I do see that you were unhappy with the at-resort charges. Those fees, controlled by the resort, are included in your booking confirmation from us, primarily a $40/day refundable deposit and a daily fee of $12 for resort amenities. I wanted to verify with you that these were indeed the charges and more importantly that your deposit was refunded. If not please let Vacatia Guest Care know. Also, was there any other information that you found to be incorrect? We would appreciate any details. Thank you for being our guest at Vacatia.

Charged a $500 cleaning fee at check in which was not expected, Minimal furnishings pots and pans etc, entry gate didn't work, furniture old and falling apart, beds old, one month stay never cleaned the room once. Trash receptacles had to be driven to.

The property was not ready as the cleaning was not done. I had to wait for 3 hours for the property to be ready. It is not truly a 2 - bedroom apartment. king bed is in the loft which is considered as a room with no privacy. The beds in the 2nd bedroom was really bad. It gave me back pain so I had to sleep in the sofa. A/C was in the front, cool air did not reach the bedroom to make it pleasant to sleep in the night.

The customer service representatives who helped book my vacation were great. However, I found the same place cheaper on another site and I called vacatia to get cancel my reservation and recieve my refund. I called and the women cancelled it right away no problem said the refund would show in bank account in 2 days. I looked in my email for cancellation email and didn't recieve one. Two days passed and it did not credit to my account. I called back the women I spoke to told me that it would be 2-3 days to credit my account and she looked up my confirmation number and saw that I was not sent a receipt of my refund through email so she sent me one and I revived by the end of the phone call it was breaking up and she said I may need to check with my bank. The next day was the 3rd business day I checked my account and there was still no refund. I called back again this time I talked to a man and he told me that it usually takes up to a 3 days to 5 days and may take up to a whole billing cycle. I then asked why I talked to 3 different people and they're all telling me something different. He said to check with my bank. I got off the phone with him and went to my bank they told me that even if they go through a clearing house for the refund it should not take more than 5 days. They checked my account to see if anything was pending and there wasn't. Vacatia has wonderful people to book your vacation to take your money but when you have to get your money back they don't give it back which is disappointing when I would've stayed with them if it was cheaper and booked future vacations. It's been over a week and a half and I still have not received my refund!

Dana- My name is Mike, and I’m the CMO of Vacatia. Right up front, as I mentioned in my voicemail to you this morning, I am sorry for your poor experience with, and first impression of, Vacatia. I have reviewed the specifics with our Guest Care team members who talked with you. We did actually process your refund on the day as you requested, however we should have immediately sent you an email confirmation of your refund. I have determined that indeed we did not do this, for which I apologize. I note you had to call us two days later to request the confirmation and I can see how our oversight would reasonably make you question whether we were moving with purpose and giving your refund the priority it deserved. I have also double-checked that our refund request entered Apr 24 (the day you requested it) was accepted by our card processor’s system, which successfully initiated the refund process. From that point, the refund process is handled by your credit card company and bank. While it varies by our guests’ credit card and issuing bank, our experience is that refund requests from that point do typically appear in our guest’s credit card account in approximately 2-3 business days. From time to time we are aware the process can take longer. That certainly appears to be the case here, six business days later, which is of course frustrating. Our executive team is very aware of your case and is reviewing our people and process to prevent this communication error in the future. Vacatia was created to make family vacations better for our guests, and it is clear we fell short on this occasion. I hope we can regain your trust and confidence so that you might consider Vacatia for your next family trip. I left my mobile number on this morning's voice mail. Please feel free to call me if I can be of any help. Sincerely, Mike Janes Chief Marketing Officer Vacatia
