Stay away from UWM, they're not trustworthy. UWM used false numbers regarding tax information in my escrow account, misrepresented monthly payments, and in addition, customer service has avoided me for over a month as I try to rectify the problem. This falsely advertised rate and mismanagement of escrow funds inflated our monthly payment by 20%. This appears to be a pattern with them. DO NOT USE UWM

Stole 11K from me!!!
Stole 11K from me!!!
They are the worst customer service reps and system I've ever seen in my life. Defensive reps who do not care about helping you, they care about following their workflows and meeting quality metrics.

Their servicing department SUCKS
Their servicing department SUCKS. I have had my mortgage with UWM for the last 5 years and never had 1 late payment. I was out of the country for 3 weeks and received a notice while I was gone that they had not received my Sept payment. I checked my bank account since I had scheduled the payment prior to my trip and the payment had cleared so I figured it was a mistake and I would take care of it when I was back in the US. I called them my first day back (2 days into the following month) and was informed that they changed the servicing to a new department with UWM and that I should have received a letter. I told her I didn't receive any letter. She asked if i wanted to make the payment over the phone and I said yes as I wanted to get this rectified right away. I asked her if I would be penalized with a late payment and she said yes and too bad they wont do anything because I should have received the letter. I again reminded her that I never received a letter and that I, again, have never had a late payment and that the only reason I now have a mortgage late is due to them changing the servicing address to a different address with UWM and could I get an exception due to the circumstances. She said no and that they are in compliance with RESPA by sending the letter and thats all they will do. I made the payment over the phone that day and also updated the payment information that day in my online banking and sent the payment for October as well. I asked for a supervisor since she was completely unwilling and apparently unable to help me. Again, sat on hold for ages only to be told that the supervisor was not available and was dealing with important clients (apparently I don't qualify). I said I would hold and she said no she will not allow me to hold and that the supervisor would call within 48 hours. 5 days later still no call so I will call back and probably get told the exact same thing. I am so sick of companies like this who can't look at the real situation and make a human decision when they can clearly see my payment history and it's obviously due to their servicing change. I inquired immediately and paid immediately obviously with the intention of staying current. I am so sick of companies so big that they completely lose the ability to make a human decision and their customer service sucks. I will never allow my broker to send my next loan to UWM after this experience. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I would give zero stars if possible
I would give zero stars if possible. They will lie to you and harass you relentlessly. Refusing to respond or let you speak to a supervisor. Run run away.

Uwm is a terrible mortgage lender, stay far away!!
I have been with uwm for about nine months. They sold my loan to another division in uwm. I now have to pay through bilt. Somehow during this process. They lost all my contact info. After 58 days I notice a ding on my credit. I have good credit, so I start digging. They stopped my auto payment and I was one month short. But they always waited 30 days to apply the next payment. So it was always late, my mother got a certified letter in the mail. Iam in collections. So I call to make payment. I go to use my credit card. They refuse payment, says it is because it is late. If it was on time they will accept it. I have never dealt with such a crap mortgage company. Iam contacting my Attorney General. Also the consumer protection agency. They are intentionally attempting to make people default on their loans. So they can force a foreclosure. Unbeknownst to them I had enough to cover the payments. Which I did pay to bring current. This scam was done by bank of America. It did not work out for them. It will not work for uwm either. I have recorded calls of this bs and screen shots of them refusing payment. Bottom line stay away from this company!!!

United Wholesale Mortgage's loan terms…
United Wholesale Mortgage's loan terms are currently requiring me to pay nearly $3,000 per month until July of next year, which is higher than I initially expected. I had anticipated catching up on my payments and then returning to my regular payment schedule. I am exploring other options and plan to consult a lawyer to review the paperwork they have not yet provided. I will be contacting them to request the official agreement letter that

I am filing this complaint to warn…
I am filing this complaint to warn other consumers about the serious issues I have experienced with United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM). My mortgage forbearance has been handled with repeated mistakes, privacy concerns, and conduct that appears to violate both federal and Texas debt‑collection laws.
Throughout my hardship forbearance, UWM representatives have given inconsistent information, failed to follow required CFPB servicing rules, and continued to call me daily even though my account was in an approved assistance status. Under federal law, borrowers in forbearance are not to be treated as delinquent, and collection calls are not permitted. Under Texas Finance Code §392, repeated daily calls are considered harassment.
Despite this, UWM continued contacting me as if I were behind on payments, ignoring the protections that apply during a hardship forbearance. Their customer support says one thing, then does the opposite. The lack of compliance, transparency, and respect for consumer rights has been alarming.
Based on my experience, I strongly urge consumers to be cautious when dealing with UWM. Their practices during my forbearance have been inefficient, misleading, and in my view, unlawful.
