After placing a reservation, an employee called to confirm, which was great. Then he began to question me in a manner that made me very uncomfortable, enough to pay more to store somewhere else. He made me feel like 8 had done something wrong when all I wanted to do was store some totes. As far as I know, your not entitled to do tuat. Storage places are a dime a dozen, I don't need to deal with someone like that.

The office manger was great and website saved me a lot money

Not good! They don't tell u that they add insurance on top of the total cost and 1st month free... Bs bc ur paying the first month with insurance!!

Their prices are outrageous!! For the first month you have to pay $24.00 for administration fee, $18.95 for a lock you must purchase there, 11.00 dollars insurance you must have, then what your paying for your storage. I was going to get a 4x4 for $18.00 a month for a total of $71.95 All for just one month. That is crazy!!!

I give you one star because there is no zero stars options. I made an online agreement with you to reserve a camper parking space. It turns out you didn’t really have what you agreed to provide. You want me to go on your waiting list. Where I come from this is called lying. You’re big and powerful and treat others callously with impunity. You are what’s wrong with the world today. I suggest companies like yours go away as soon as possible.

I was lied to about first month free. I was told it would be $34/month, but when I got there, it was actually going to be $44/month. We had to wait 30 minutes for someone to open the doors in the middle of the day even though they knew I was coming. They also require insurance to be purchased from them ONLY. It was a scheme and I felt lied to. I declined to rent a unit here.

This facility has 2 huge banners out front advertising "First Month Free." Their webpage has a large homepage banner indicating same. A Google search produces this result for this business: "Howell Storage - Get 1 Month Free & 15% Savings - ExtraSpace.com‎" So I make a reservation. When I get there, I'm told the free month only applies to a few select units (not mine, of course). Then they add an outrageous mandatory insurance charge along with an "administration fee." The center manager was polite, but these policies are beyond his control. This has left a bad taste in my mouth.

The online rates are just "bait and switch" basically. Save yourself the time and talk to a vendor who isn't disingenuous from the start.
