Great agent, but the company needs to be more transparent.
I recently completed a self-publishing project with this service, and my experience was genuinely mixed. On the positive side, my agent, Ben, was excellent to work with. He was kind, attentive, and always responsive, whether by phone, text or email. He listened to my concerns and worked to answer my questions. However, I ran into significant issues with deliverables. When I signed on, I was told my book would be available on multiple digital platforms beyond Amazon KDP. The contract I signed indicated digital spaces such as Amazon, Apple Books, and Barnes & Noble. In the end, it was only published on Amazon KDP, and I had to do some troubleshooting on my own. I'd encourage this company to be more transparent about what's contractually guaranteed versus what's discussed informally during onboarding. As it stands, I finished my project, but I'm left only 50% satisfied with the overall outcome and the print quality of Amazon KDP, although not US books publishers' fault lacks the overall quality I wanted to put out.
