UnpaktReviews of unpakt.com

It made moving super easy. I listed my items, chose a quoted bid, got a fair, solid, price. Move day was swift and painless. I moved from a one bedroom from Brooklyn to Manhattan, and all in all in took less than 3 hours. Should've done this in my previous moves.

i HIGHLY recommend this service. I have moved several times long distances and have never had a really great experience until now. A friend of mine suggested Unpakt and I am so glad she did. I found the best moving company, M&M, and the price was reasonable and they even did an in home quote. The move was seemless. When I had questions on what to categorize in my inventory the customer service was very helpful. Absolutely will use form now on if I need to make another move.

What a great service ... very simple easy to use interface and good way to reconcile and find best solution to your situation. The moving company that I picked was correctly represented by Unpakt and every thing went as planned. Granted I was prepared and had already done some homework -- so Unpakt just made me more organized and I used them as a 3rd party source to what I had started to figure out on my own.

Unpakt did a great job and matched us with wemoveus. The movers were professional and efficient and careful with our things. They did an amazing job.

Great service, I'm so happy it exists. I used Unpakt based on a referral from a real estate agent and I'm so glad I took his advice. I was able to find great movers and because my move date was flexible, I could find the best price over multiple dates. Thanks!

We were making a move from San Francisco to Chicago. We were not optimistic at all about a long distance move. Every other yelp review was a horror story or people paid a ridiculous amount + another ridiculous amount they were not expecting. Perhaps for this reason, we did a LOT of research. I received a variety of vague quotes from a bunch of sales people at other moving companies, was told about all these other crazy fees, insurance to ensure your stuff shows up in once piece (isn't that the one thing that needs to happen?), window of time your stuff can show up was up to 21 days (+30 built into that) - the whole thing left us stressed and ready to sell all of our ish. That's when we found unpakt. We were able to plug in all of our furniture, piece by piece to see what each one would cost to move. Then we could remove them if we decided it wasn't worth it (i.e. someone bought our TV before the move so we were able to get rid of that). We were detailed because we did not want any surprises when we got to Chicago. We loved that we could update our packing list upto 24 hours before our move. We also LOVED that we dealt directly with unpakt and they figured out the rest – this gave us complete PEACE OF MIND since they were the ones guaranteeing our move. So we get our quote, which was by far the best out of all the companies that we contacted. I was skeptical still - assuming there would be a hidden fee later. The movers showed up in SF. Were crazy fast - moved out the boxes, wrapped up big furniture (SUPER protected!!). Then we left for Chicago and waited for our stuff to arrive. I was convinced it would not arrive for a month - even though they said 14 days was the max. Our stuff arrived within 8 days. We were kept updated by the mover driving the truck (we asked because we needed to arrange the elevator) he called us several times to keep us posted on his exact arrival time. Then they showed up. We did need to pay for the elevator fee, but we knew that would probably be initially. We were stoked that we didn't need to pay a shuttle fee (the 18 wheeler was able to drive right into Chi to our surprise). I am recommending these guys to everyone. Do your homework, read the fine print but ultimately decide on Unpakt because they alleviate the stress that moving can cause!

Unpakt is a long-overdue layer of protection against unscrupulous movers. i chose a moving service from the Unpakt website called Acclaimed Movers. they moved me out okay, although they missed their delivery window which they had posted on unpakt to be between 5 to 7 business days and later denied any knowledge of that claim. they then transferred my stuff to a second interstate moving company whose owner with a thick israeli accent threatened to place my belongings in storage unless i cough up an extra $75 for an elevator fee, another $75 for being more than 72 feet away from the curb and this atop another $340 which they had already added randomly to my bill, a bill which I had already pre-paid on unpakt. it all totaled to an extra $490 payable in money order or cashiers check only please. i had heard the same blackmail story from a family member who relented to pay an extra $1000 dollars before their movers would finally unload their stuff from the truck. but they didn't have unpakt supporting them like i did. Matt Burns, the awesome rep. at unpakt fought off the barbarians at the gate with a professional confidence that broke a 45-minute stand off in the parking lot of my new apartment building. in the end, i tipped the movers $60 and they acted entirely unimpressed. they left in almost a bewildered state as if me getting away with paying them only a $60 tip was an unconscionable shift in their world order. Well that is exactly what unpakt is. a paradigm shift in the world of movers and it couldn't have come soon enough. i will never again move outside the protective umbrella of unpakt.

Unpakt made it all so simple, I was scared to hire movers after reading about all the scams in the moving industry but their guaranteed price comparison system made choosing movers so simple. From all the companies listed I chose Movers On Duty to move my belongings from DC to NY and everything went great! I can't get tired of recommending both Unpakt.com and Movers on Duty to all my friends and family. Moving has never been easier!
