I purchased 5 windows, a picture with two sides, a standard, and a small over the sink. All were double hung, except the picture. I purchased these during a buy 2 get 2 free promotion. I was given a grand total price. When I questioned this I was told that's the way it is! No breakdown of each window price or if I even got the buy 2 get 2. I've been told that I paid to much. I really think Universal Windows Direct should have a better explanation of their pricing! I believe that I was way overcharged! I won't do business with them again.

Recently had a salesman come by for an estimate on 12 windows. After an hour and a half I had to cut him off due to another appt. Did not get an estimate till the next day via email. Was supposed to be buy 2 get 2 free. Once I got the estimate I found it was a lump sum. I asked for an itemized estimate so I could see which ones were the free ones to justify the cost. The response was it's 50% off MSRP! ITS NOT BUY 2 GET 2 FREE.

Universal Windows direct Baltimore The service promised (Window Install) was to be completed by 26 September 2024 and the service hasn't been completed/delivered. I was misquoted my window installation completion date and was not informed of a charge order, which delayed my window install for 2 months, per management. Don’t believe salesperson (Josh) is still with the company, because I asked for a return call from him to explain what was the issue with my delivery date. The return call never happened. Get all conversation agreed upon in writing and verified it's correctness. Do not rely on their contract to cover the verbal agreement made between you and the salesperson. As they will continue to reference their contract as their guide for all non deliveries, and any other issues that may occur. Universal windows will disregard the agreement that was stated between you and the salesperson, which I relied on the salesperson to note my concerns. That wasn't done and my explanation didn’t matter when talking with Universal Windows’ Management. My delievery date was very important to me because I was to be on Int’l travel the end of September 2024. Work/order hasn’t been completed yet (11 November 2024).

Crap quality install. Wish I could attach photos. Truly horrible.

I had windows installed March 2024. A month later golf ball hit my window and broke it. I called the company as the warranty states that the window will be replaced free of charge. It is now October and I have not heard anything about the window every time I call it’s a same story. I can’t ever reach a supervisor and nobody ever calls me back. I’m not happy with the company. I would never recommend them. It’s very disrespectful of this company not to reach out to me all the times I was promised that a supervisor would return my call. So I am now seven months on from when my window first got broken and I called the company. No one has any idea where my window is and no one is ever available to talk to. Do yourself a favor and don’t go with this company.

The one window that was put in looks great...the other one looks like someone measured it too darn small, it looks foolish the way it was put in...Its like 3inches too short on the top and bottom....not pleased with it....

Update, I see if show this related to the Cleveland branch. This happened in St. Louis. Sales was good, installation and service has failed terribly. We purchased replacement windows for all our windows. The windows came in about the time we were promised. Things went down hill from there. 2 gentlemen came to do the install and replaced all but our large picture window. When we saw that they started cleaning up we questioned the large window and the response was their trailer was broken and they couldn't bring the window, but would have customer service contact us with a schedule date. Well guess what, we never received a call so we followed up. 3 different times we scheduled the install and each time they cancelled the day of for different excuses. Finally I get a call to set up a time to install just to get a call back to let me know the window is now damaged. I requested pictures of the damage to see how severe and yes it was bad. I was asked if we wanted to have the damaged window installed and replaced after the new window was ready which I declined. Finally the new window was available and a different installer came and did a great job. We found that the screen had a couple of tears in it and he requested a work ticket to replace. Several weeks later a technician came to replace only to find out the screen was the wrong size. He again took the information off of the tag to make sure he had the correct size and once again never heard from the service department as to when we would receive the replacement. Fast forward to today, I contact customer service to again request a replacement screen just to be told the screen is under warranty but they would charge $150 dollars for a technician to install. Unfortunate for the young lady that set up the call had to listen to my rant of disappointment with her company and the promises that were made. She has waived the charge as she states "this one time" When I purchased the windows the sales man as well as all the installer stated the screens were under a life time warranty. no one ever mentioned a $150 charge to install. Lesson learned, make sure to ask about if a no charge life time warranty is truly that.

well, what went wrong this time? The installation went fine this time. it was a second attempt due to failure on the measuring guy. you see he got it wrong and fortunately the installation team caught it after they had my home prepped ( drop clothes ). good catch, I say. sorrily, I hoped and expected a phone call from mgmt.- you know as a professional courtesy. a day or two later Carey- I think that's his name, called. basically he tried to apologize. I broached the subject of some sort of "compensation" for my troubles, I had to reschedule 2 doctor appointments, put my home back in order. he said he was open to the concept but it was premature at the time of our call but we could revisit it after. I accepted that. my windows were installed 03-14-2024 today is Friday 03-29-2024 and no call from Carey. I have a proposal I wanted to share with him. does he even exist? boy, oh boy, I am very disappointed this episode takes the luster off UWD family U P D A T E: today is 05- 24 2024 and still not contact from universal window direct. I know that they have my email address and phone number.
