Ordered five windows to be installed. Two were made wrong and needed to be remade. I didn't hear anything so I called the saleman. He was very short with me and said what do you want me to do. call customer service. Very upsetting that someone making a commision off of you is not willing to help. I called customer service and had to leave a message. Customer service returned my call and the women calling must of had a bad day. She was rude and just said we will get them remade. Of couse we had to pay the remaing balance before they would even come to install them, so we was without to new windows and our money.Two months later after not hearing anything on the replacement windows i again called about the windows. The women I talked to was very nice and told me the windows had been done and ready for install three weeks ago. I ask why we had not been contacted. She said we should have received an email and a phone call to schedule the install. We did not receive either. I ask to talk to someone in management. She told me she would have them call me. The install scheduling manager that called me was very pleasant and understood us being so upset with the service we had received. She said she would follow up on why we were never contacted. Very poor customer service. We do not recomend this company because of the mistakes and lack of customer service.

The worst experience. We will never consider their service in the future. We ordered 5 windows and one sliding patio door. The ordeal started with a dishonest salesperson who misled us about the windows design. He assumed us that replacement windows would have the same flange as original ones and that installation crew will remove siding to replace windows. All windows and the sliding door were delivered unpacked with a lot of black marks, scratches, and one frame was even cracked. During the installation process it became evident that measurements had been inaccurately taken. Consequently, some windows ended up with 1” gap on the top and bottom. Those gaps weren’t even thoughtfully filled with foam. Regrettably my heating bill increased instead of promised energy saving. What was supposed to be one day the installation turned into a frustrating 4 day process. After installation one window began leaking badly due to faulty flashing. Rectifying this problem required an additional 2 visits from repair crew. To add to the frustration, a bracket in one window broke after just 2 days, and it took a painstaking 6 months to have it properly repaired. As for the cracked frame, a replacement was only arranged after a staggering 11 months. later

I had UWD come out an give me to give me an estimate for my entire me. The salesman was very knowledgeable. I asked about the buy 2 windows get 2 free deal and was told that was "not really a thing." So , I was given pricing for 17 windows. I was offered financing which was spelled out in the contract. I was told by the salesman, that there was about a 15week lead time for install, after the final measure. I was told to use the app to track my project and that I would be receiving a call to set up the final measure. Several weeks went by before I ever heard from anyone. I had tried to call the office several times, but was never able to reach anyone. I finally did hear from them to schedule my final measure, 4 weeks after my initial estimate. I was told that there was only 1 person in my area that does this measuring. There were not any available times that were convenient for me. I was told by the guy that called that I should just get someone to come to my house to wait for the measure. I scheduled an appointment in hopes that I could find someone to be there. I scheduled the appointment for another 4 weeks out, as that was there only availability. 1week before the final measure, I received additional financing terms from a company I had never heard of with a back dated offer. The term was for an astronomical amount, basically tripling the cost of the windows. I immediately called to cancel the final measure. Its interesting that after hours you are able to leave a message for customer service, but during regular working hours you cannot. After that day I received no less that 4 calls per day wanting me to reschedule. Several of these calls were made back to back. I work during the day and cannot take calls while doing so. Each time I tried to call back and each time, I reached absolutely NOONE. When I was able to take a call from them, a few weeks had gone by. I told them I no longer wished to have the project completed.. I was told they would let the salesman know. I have since that time received repeated texts from the salesman even after I state I was no longer interested in having windows installed by their company. I feel as if this company only care about high dollar sales. There is no reason for repeated calls and text after you have said you are no longer interested.

1. Sells person lied twice to make the sell. 2. Person called to schedule appt told me a date that did not work for me. I asked to move it by one day. she said there would be a storage fee to delay. Had to move my doc apt. 3. All the windows came about 2-1/2 inches too short. The installer did not tell me and started installing them filling the gap with foam and a thin piece of vinyl. Did not work. He reordered replacements. Now I am waiting with gaps in my windows and exposed wood.

This company will call you several times and email you until you sign up or block them. Trust me, the bad reviews are true. My installers showed up three hours early. They were filthy dirty, no sign that they worked for Universal. Not on their shirts, not on their trucks. They were outsourced. No ID to prove who they were. They installed my windows and left a huge mess behind. They did not move the furniture back and literally left my front door wide open. They were jerks. They took my screens with them. I called customer service, installers came back (10 minutes). The one installed yelled at me for having him come back and threw my screens at me. Both screens were damaged beyond repair. Obviously, this was malicious. I called the company and was told "Nothing we can do". No apology for the entire situation. Lucky for me I only had them install two out of thirty windows. It's not worth the money you save. Spend a little more and get quality windows and service. I wish I did!

My door was installed on May 5th and it's now June 25, and my front door is still not entirely finished. They forgot a part and it apparently takes months to get in. Needless to say, I'm not happy. Very poor customer service. When I call them it's not easy to get a person on the phone who knows about the issue I have or when it will be resolved. Very frustrating to say the least.

Will never do business with them again. They tell you anything to make a sale but don't back it up. Customer service can't answer questions. They promise you a call back but you won't get one. The installer that came pulled my curtains completely out of the wall, and left them that way, didn't hang the shears back up despite my instance, broke a picture frame and didn't bother to tell me.

Don’t deal with them. This was the most ridiculous experience I have ever had with a sales man. My mom an I went out an he immediately spoke down to us an basically made us feel like we were stupid that we thought we could get windows installed for less than 1,000 per window. When he hadn’t even seen any of the small ones we wanted done. Also ask him about the buy 2 get 2 free that the lady told me about on the phone an he blew me off an said you are expecting to pay 500 dollars a window an that’s just not the case. ( when I never mentioned a number I was willing or not willing to pay. ) An I basically called my mom a liar when she told him something about her one window. 3 times he pointed in her face and told her that there’s no way that that’s true. I looked at him and told him that he can stop wasting our time and I won’t waste his. He will not be walking into our home. We may have been two women, but we’re not stupid. When I was originally called to ask if we wanted to book a free estimate. I told the woman that we had done some other renovations, that they cost us more than expected and we really weren’t looking for windows, but we would gladly get an estimate just to see what we were looking at. When he came he could have come measured. Shown us windows an then given us a price an if it would have been out of price range … fine no big deal. We wouldn’t do it. But he was degrading an basically thought we were ignorant woman an he was “the man”. Ugh would have never let him in my house an im a very open person. Kept telling us to measure the window an go see what piece of garbage window we could find at Home Depot. You will not sell me something once you are disrespectful towards my mom.
