My star rating is LESS than ZERO, but I had to pick one to post this. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. Jim, who is Paul Larsen’s boss, called me a STUPID OLD Baby Boomer who could not give him the correct banking info. Mind you, I did. He was, quite literally, yelling at me-SO professional. I was in SHOCK. The word W…. was also in his rant somewhere. Then he called me a F…… S.., because my boyfriend was paying the deposit for the move and I was going to pay the rest. This is a SCAM company-I wish I’d read their reviews before I called them-that was my mistake. Please don’t make the same mistake I almost did.

This was a horrible experience DO NOT…
This was a horrible experience DO NOT USE UNITED EXPRESS MOVING, first of all they Charge you broker fees for nothing, we paid our initial deposit then a second person tricked us into paying another $500 deposit just to be safe that we wouldn't be up charged when the movers showed up. So, before the movers ever showed up, we are $1400 into it, the movers we had to pay cash at time of pickup and delivery. They were not the issue, but the brokers were horrible and mean when you asked them questions. They showed up to deliver the first time and didn't even have our stuff. I'm should have known better, Don't make the same mistake we did.

I would give this company zero stars if…
I would give this company zero stars if I could. Literally one of the worst experiences of my life. All of the other bad reviews are right on the money! They pad their bad reputation with planted reviews, I am sure of it. I found one that was written by one of their "managers" Jon Hain. Alyssa, Ryan, Jason, and Natasha are all unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. So much so, that I will admit they had me screaming obscenities at them at one point. They will scam you at every turn. I waited 7 weeks for my stuff, and paid 3 times what I was quoted. They set me up with a "D" rated company on one of the industry websites. Avoid letting them set you up for a bad experience. Book your OWN move with a quality company, or move it yourself!

We were quoted to move a piano and…
We were quoted to move a piano and bench. Signed a contract for $1,384 and had to pay $599 to guarantee the move. Promised a pickup date and a delivery the same afternoon 130 miles away. They were to show up between 10 am and 1 pm on Tuesday to pick up and meet my wife 2 hours away. We called at 2pm looking for the truck and were told the lift was broken and they were waiting for a repair, but they would still be able to make things work. I send my wife ahead to the delivery point. They finally called me at 7pm and were on the way. They got there at 8pm. No lift gate four guys. They told me that I had to pay extra due to the weight and size of the piano (that info was upfront and on the original contract) or they couldn't pick it up as agreed to. I agreed to pay the extra $366 because my wife was already at the delivery point waiting on the piano and we were already out $599. The four men struggled to get the piano in the truck, which was full and barely had room, so they were picking up additional material while we waited for the 1pm pickup. They agreed to deliver it on Thursday morning between 9 and 11. Talked to my wife about noon Thursday and she had not heard a word from the driver. I called United and was told that they never promise an actual delivery date (they have a window of 7 days). They said it would be Saturday or Sunday now. The brokered delivery service called later that day and said look for them Saturday mid-day. Wife came home. Daughter waited all day Saturday. They finally showed up late that evening. Demanded payment before they unloaded. I had my daughter inspect the piano which they were reluctant to show her. After a long discussion they barely let her inspect the piano. It was missing parts and the piano bench was missing. They offered her someone else's ottoman. Still demanding to get paid before unloading. I told her to refuse the delivery and not pay. She did.
They are not responding to the broken piano and missing bench. They refuse to give us the insurance info. They are a scam company. Run like hell. Do not use them.

Alyssa and Ryan are scam artist DO NOT…
Alyssa and Ryan are scam artist DO NOT ABSOLUTELY DO NOT work with these people. I originally worked with an agent named Paul that took inventory of my items and gave me a quote. We agreed upon 2100. I ask him to send me the quote so I could look it over and compare to other quotes I planned on collecting that day. He claimed that they had the space on the truck now that if I called back later it may not be available. He insisted if I paid a deposit now that would lock in my items and it be a done deal.
The next day after paying my deposit some moron named Ryan called me saying that my items won't fit on the truck that it would be an upward of 800 to 3k to move my items. I told him that was impossible because the guy that took my deposit GAURENTEED ME that if I paid a deposit it would secure space on the truck for my items. He called me a liar that he "listened to the conversation that it was never gaurenteed. I let him know that was not true because I have all of my business calls recorded as well and it was in fact what I was promised. At this point Ryan started talking over me and yelling over the phone about how he doesn't consent to being recorded after admitting his own company records calls as well. Then he hangs up. VERY PROFESSIONAL. At this point i call Paul to find out what's going on no reply. So I reached out to the company and spoke to a supposed supervisor name Alyssa. SHE WAS EVEN MORE UNPROFFESIONAL THAN RYAN. These people are constantly scamming people with fake quotes getting thousands of dollars in deposits and then switch and bait employees to call you back the next day and say hey its gonna be 3k more to do your move. Then REFUSE to return your deposit when you say no
THIS IS THE VERY DEFINITION OF FRAUD.
I would encourage you to submit a complaint if you've been a victim of this company below.

United Express Moving & Storage - Don't do it!
Don't use United Express Moving & Storage! They are a broker. They play a game of bait and catch. You are promised a low rate for a long distance move. Their estimate includes a charge of 3.40 per cubic foot, a fuel surcharge, and tariffs at 200% of the estimated cost per cubic foot. Then they tell you if you sign within 24 hours you get a discount. The discount is about half of the trumped up tariff charges. You are still getting robbed!
Then you are asked to tell them what you need to move, how many and what size boxes, etc on the initial call. Of course you haven't even started packing yet! Of course you will forget many things and you can't know how many boxes your things will fill or what size the boxes will be.
You pay a deposit which is about half of their estimate. It is non-refundable after 72 hours. Of course you need to book your move long before 72 hours prior. About a week before your move you are asked if you have any more items than you originally mentioned. Of course you do! In my case, i had less. We estimated 30 boxes. I had 28 but some (most) were bigger than what they estimated. Of course they were. Plus things like a treadmill I thought I'd be moving, I decided not to. So you are feeling good about things. Since I was pretty much packed. I took measurements of everything including boxes and sent them a list. I got a call back from Ryan in "Quality Assurance" saying my estimate was now about twice what originally was quoted and I was asked for an additional deposit bringing my total paid to them of the full amount of the original quote. Don't worry, Ryan said, your things will probably take up less space than the new quote. At this point, they are done with you because they received all their money. The company to which my job was brokered gets paid the rest. That's how they get paid for the job. Don't be fooled that the job will cost less than the new quote. It cost more. I got a text (not a call as Ryan had indicated) on October 30, saying the movers would come on November 3rd between 12pm and 5pm and that I'd get a call when they were 30 minutes to one hour away. By 2 o'clock I hadn't heard anything so I called United Express to see if they could get me an eta. They said the movers got delayed picking up another load and wouldn't be coming until the next day. What???? At 4pm the dispatcher from the actual moving company, told me they would be sending a U-Haul to pick up my load between 9 and 12 the next day and would transfer my things to one of their trucks. What???!! One of the questions I asked Andrew at United Express before committing to them was whether my things would be moved between trucks. He said absolutely not. When I called Andrew & Ryan at United Express about this neither answered and neither returned my call. Why would they? They had their money and they were done with me. On moving day, November 4, two trucks arrived around 11 to 1130am. I was told they would be loading my things on two different trucks and then putting them all on one truck heading to Florida. I was not happy, but again, at this point I had no recourse and no money would be refunded. As it turned out, the two trucks left and transferred things from one to another so that my things would fit on one truck. Thank you! They collected 1/2 of the balance after loading my things and the rest at the destination before they unloaded. By the way, United Express says that Zelle is a payment option. It is not! Gratefully, I had cash available. My advice is that you dont use a broker. United Express should be out of business. If you look at the reviews on Trust Pilot, they have 1's and 5's with nothing in between. The 5's are written by company employees They are not real. Even if a real moving company, not a broker gives you a higher quote, trust it. Don't be lured by promises of $1200, or the like, for a long-distance move form a broker. A broker has no stake in your satisfaction and no liability after they get your money. Just don't do it.
