I couldn't buy a domain security.
Response from uniteddomains.comJul 9, 2018
Hi Ahmed, Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Not all domain extensions support Whois Privacy services, but others do offer some degree of masking for some or all associated contact details. A member of our support team has reached out to assist you with this directly. Best regards, Travis at UD

Registering a domain is easy. However, registering a domain on a Friday. Then 48h later still Nameserver change hasn't gone through and no reply from their support. Disappointed and only see a downside in registering with them in the future.
Response from uniteddomains.comApr 30, 2018
Hello Jens, thank you for your review. As our website says, our support team is available on weekdays, from 9-5 ET. When a domain name is registered with a new set of contact details, we send the owner an email asking that they verify their supplied contact information. Once you do this for your newly registered domains, they will be activated and your name server changes will take effect. Thanks! Best regards, Travis at UD

Price went way up and I wanted to know why. You never responded to my several emails. Went from $9.99 to $14.95 in one year.
Response from uniteddomains.comApr 23, 2018
Hi Mike, thanks for your feedback. We actually responded to all emails you sent on April 6th, 9th, and 10th. I apologize if you did not see those replies. A recent price adjustment of some domain extensions, the first we have done since our founding, was due to increased costs among other factors, and allows us keep our pricing both simple and transparent while continuing to let our customers access all additional features we offer at no additional cost. Thank you again and best regards, Travis at UD

Once I purchased, there was an undisclosed hold on my domain. It was not clear to me that my contact information needed to be re-confirmed, until I put in a support ticket. This cost me time I could've been sharing my site as a contact.
Response from uniteddomains.comMar 29, 2018
Hi Jesse, and thanks for your feedback. ICANN requires domain registrars to verify that every registrant's contact information is valid and up to date, and we do automatically send a confirmation email to validate a set of new domain registration contact details. I hope this helps to clarify. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts with us. Best regards, Travis at UD

reason for increased price is missing (for me)
Response from uniteddomains.comMar 21, 2018
Thank you for your feedback, Karel! We try to keep our domain experience simple and direct, without unwanted add-ons or unnecessary paid services. A price adjustment for certain domains allows us keep our pricing transparent and straightforward, while allowing all our customers to access our full-fledged features from the get-go. Thanks again, and if you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at [email protected]! Best regards, Travis at UD

United used to be a 5 star experience, but since they changed the user interface doing anything in the account these days is sub standard. Service personnel are good still though, thankfully that hasn't changed. But a redesigned UX is much needed.

Hi Wolftalker, thank you for your review -- I'm happy to know your experience with our support team has always been positive, and appreciate you sharing your thoughts about our user interface. UX matters a lot to us, so we've reached out to you in hopes of getting a more detailed picture of your experience. We hope it'll help us to deliver a user interface you're happier to use! Best regards, Travis at UD

Registered the domain just fine. Received hundreds of email spam and dozens of phone calls in the week following. This has never happened to me after registering other websites through the same service. *** UPDATE *** After United Domains reached out to me regarding the onslaught of spam, their delightful and thoughtful customer service team activated WHOIS privacy for my domain. Considering how bad spam has gotten (*not* United Domain’s fault) and how much effort United Domains puts into customer care, I think this should be a standard, default service rather than an add-on feature. Opt out rather than opt in.

Thanks for sharing your feedback. All domain registrars are required by ICANN to enter a domain's contact details into a public database. This does allow a publicly registered domain to receive spam from third parties who may mine this public database. Any such third parties are not affiliated with United Domains. We've reached out to you about this earlier today but didn't get a reponse yet. Will you please contact us at [email protected] at your earliest convenience? We'd love an opportunity to make things right here. Thank you! Travis at UD

I change my review grade from 1 to 3, the team made an extra mile to mask my email address from whois ( the reason why I get spammed). It's was a nice move but I would appreciate being warned in order to avoid my address to be shared in the first row.
Response from uniteddomains.comJun 14, 2017
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, Yan. We're glad to know we turned your experience into a positive one, and we've sent your suggestions along to the appropriate people. Thanks once again, and please don't hesitate to contact us directly if you have any questions.
