Exceptional service from “Rybo” and tesm
*** Update: Rybo and team reached out as soon as they were aware of my experience with a couple of bracelets I’ve taken delivery of. Ryan sounded genuinely apologetic and wanted to make things right. He went above and beyond. One couldn’t wish for a better customer service experience! *** I want to preface this review by saying that I’m a long tile customer, and have bought many straps over the years. Until my recent order of two straight link bracelets from Uncle, I was very satisfied with their products (leather and rubber straps). I also have to mention that I’ve purchased many aftermarket bracelets over the years, and have had good experience buying from Strapcode and others. Now, to the Uncle Straps bracelets. I bought a Beads of Rice and Lincoln. I was very excited to receive these, and as always the guys at Uncle have shipped promptly and packaged it well. The products themselves were quite frankly subpar in terms of quality however. Removing links to size the Lincoln, two screws (out of 6 removed) snapped easily and completely off. No excess torque, no excessive pressure, just snapped right out. When I put the spring bars (provided w/ bracelet), I could not get them through- the passage in the bracelet was packs with debris from the manufacturing process - metal shavings and dust. The BOR was worse. Half the bracelet needed to be reefed on to be made to move. The links were stuck and bracelet is basically unusable. Even after washing out with soap and water, and lubricating the links, it’s still not draping properly. Utter waste of money. PS. I’m in Canada, so shipping stuff back and forth is an expensive hassle. Love their rubber straps, but the bracelets leave a lot to be desired. Thankfully you’re in good hands with Uncle’s team!
