Great as akways, but I did not like being forced to auto-renew. I was going to anyway, and early probably, but being forced to before tax season is over was kinda difficult for me at that time. Also, the hours of operation are not late enough. I have a day job also, and I purchased the vault a year ago now I think.... I have not been able to successfully install one single year from the vault to do past-year returns and I have even gone so far as to factory reset my laptop, completely remove the firewall and anti-virus before installing, etc. I do not know what else I am doing wrong on those....

Good value for the money. There are some things I wish worked better: 1. When sending form 1040X for signature, the signature isn't actually put on that form. 2. I also wish the software supported electronic filing of amendments for those states that accept them. 3. Some forms don't automatically become part of the return; you have to download and fill out a PDF and manually attach it to the return (form 8915-E, for example). 4. I would like to be able to put state refund/balance due info in the client letter template. That's just off the top of my head. All in all, however, not bad software for the price.

Had a form 8995 not print with the tax return 1040NR. back in 2019. Other wise it work good for me.

The software is easy to use after you play with it for a little while. The support team is helpful. I believe the only thing I would suggest improvement on is since the software is linked with a specific bank product that they streamline both the software to detail more specific information about things such as when something doesn't work they give you an exact reason why its not working. I'm not a fan of calling customer support for any business to be quite honest so ideally, I'd like to have the software come loaded with everything it needs for us to process returns efficiently with little to no support eg states, etc. This is the first tax software I used after Intuit and I loved Intuit, but, I like the advancement of UltimateTax as opposed to Intuit and how more geared it is for tax pros. Being a new ERO I am not approved to do pre-ack advances only advances after pre-ack which in its own way really is a pain when you consider being told by the bank all of the benefits of early funds available by 01/02/19 and how it works but never telling you that it won't work till the next year. I found the hard way yesterday after several returns I had processed for important customers between 01/02 and 01/04. This has nothing to do with UltimateTax but just be aware as a new ERO to not offer this specific bank product if you cannot deliver these services until a certain period. It was fair to be approved however, by EPS as a first year preparer whereas other banks would have said no.

Great customer service.

Considerably affordable. Tech support friendly and polite most of time. Sometimes if there is a peculiar problem they are quick to shift the blame to parent company.
