Had issues with the corporation end. It was not smooth at all when preparing Corporation returns.

We can see where corporate returns are much more involved. We are available for support year round.

The software needs updates, some firms are not in the system, customer service in the past has been horrible with their favor phrase ( I am not a tax preparer) even though you are calling for technical support rather than tax advise. This has some what changed at the end of the season with some ladies taking over the customer service.

There is plenty of room for improvement - the company is not competitive to other software companies who offer better discounts when you are a returning customer. They don't have packages that will allow you to only purchase separate business software to which you only need one verses all (including individual tax forms). Slow response to emails requesting assistance to resolve software issues.

We have tried many things over the past 15 years. Our renewal rate is one of the best renewals in the industry. Yes, it would be nice to charge less, but unfortunately, we have to pay the bills too. We are usually pretty good at responding to our emails all day long. Though when we are closed we encourage you to use our extensive knowledge base. Thank you for the honest comments.

Couldn't file some NYS extensions and NYS tax returns yet Ultimate Tax software NEVER resolved the problem.

Sorry to hear that you had problems filing. We do provide all the forms. There are some jurisdictions that we cannot file extensions electronically.

Reasonable price. However I continue to experience issues that waste my time for no good reason. I don't feel that anybody pays attention to making this system user friendly for an individual practitioner.

It is tough to change an existing system when people get used to it. We are always trying to improve, more changes on the way this year.

I am very disappointed that you all made changes to the state returns for unemployment. I had already adjusted my returns for that so now my tax clients are getting letters from the state of Indiana about owing more money because you made those changes without consulting with your clients. At least with federal, you did notify us that you were making those changes.

Lisa, I would say that this year was a challenge for all people involved. Since congress made changes to 2020 tax season after the season started, basically unprecedented, that created a new set of challenges. Changes that were done were to the returns so that you had a correct representation of the return. Sorry that it has caused you additional work. In many cases this really helped out the preparers so the returns were correct and did not need modifications.

This is my 1st year using the software so I'm may be a little behind the learning curve. Coming over from Drake the SW is not intuitive but maybe as the season progresses it will grow on me. KUDO's to Operations Manager Chris Bynum, who spent a couple of hours emailing back and forth to help me with the initial login.

Yes, you will have a learning curve. Drake is a different program, we have many customers who appreciate the move once they get their feet wet.
