In the past this item was made using metal prongs. Now they are plastic. The material used for the sheet protectors is also of a lesser quality while the price is still the same. I love the design of this item but would likely not purchase anymore in the future.

Hi Christy, Thank you for ordering with us again. We do offer the most extensive lineup of Reference Organizers to meet every budget. Most of Reference Organizers do come standard with metal prongs including our best-selling DocuMate Organizer. Our AdjustAview organizer does come with plastic tip pockets, but we have had any reports of the pockets breaking. This organizers should last a very long time, however if you would like to exchange the organizer you purchased for our DocuMate with the metal tips we would be happy to do that for you.
