Not great for facial hair
I bought this product on Amazon directly from the ulike store. I am on week 14 with this device and have been following instructions diligently. I bought it for facial hair removal post menopause (dark black hair and pale skin, so considered ideal for this device) and to perform touch ups on areas with prior laser hair removal. I used only the highest levels (high and SHR) as instructed, knowing that I responded well to laser in the past. I saw some minor reductions initially on the bikini area, but the facial hair shows little to no change even after this many weeks. I am beyond the return period because I followed the FAQ suggestions, which encouraged users to give the product up to 5 months to work on stubborn hair. While I have not yet reached a full 5 months, I am nearing 4 months with very minimal difference. I am sad and frustrated that I have spent so much time and money on a device which has been largely ineffective. On the plus side the cooling made the device comfortable to use, far moreso than laser, though it is a bit bulky in small areas. I would have been glad to deal with that minor inconvenience if the product had removed my hair, but I am still shaving daily. I will continue to use it until 5 months in case it needs more time, because at this point I have nothing to lose, but knowing what now know I would have saved my money and gone directly to a professional for laser removal instead. This device clearly isn't strong enough for hormonal hair growth. In my attempt to save some money, I am going to cost myself extra for effective removal!
