As an emergency car assistance worker from experience we always had the fine canceled by the other parking companies by appealing it with evidence of recovery but with ukpa never works and they aren’t helpful at all ripping people as much as they can legally scammers

parked in an open car park in Newcastle along with hundreds of other cars. parked in the correct bay for the business i was visiting. could not find any ticked machines as there was building work going on in the car park. when a asked a member of the building team about parking i was told that the car park top floor was under construction repairs and all ticket machines were turned off or have been removed. i was also told that as long as i was in the correct bay for the company i was visiting it was ok to use the car park. on leaving the car park there was no where to pay or barriers on the exit so i obviously i just left. there were no signs saying the car park was closed or any other information. Two weeks later i received a fine for £100. this is just a money making scheme for this business which local councils must agree with (probably something in it for them) or they would not let it happen. waste of time trying to talk sense with these people as they are all ignorant / thick as .....

Heartless crooks! Received a parking charge invoice for £100 for the sake of a £1 parking ticket. Firstly I pulled into Livingston retail as a matter of urgency for my young child who was unwell. Travelling with two young children it was urgent and this was the safest place. Nowhere did I notice signs (to be fair I wasn’t looking thoroughly outside of the car) to state about payment as I didn’t leave the car at all, I was present seeing to my young children ensuring their safety and comfort until safe to resume travel. I appealed on these grounds but it was refused. I can’t believe a company would be so heartless to refuse this as a genuine reason - I didn’t simply park to go shopping and refuse to pay. For the sake of £1 they are now pursuing me for £100 a genuine oversight on my part as it was my first time visiting here so I didn’t realise these were paid parking spaces. What an absolute joke.

Used the car park in Ayr Town Centre. I had never used this type of payment method before, having always been able to use cash so I know it was a first via my card. I paid for two hours, £3, and diligently included all the information they asked for, including my registration. On getting a £100 parking charge notice I went to my banking app to ensure that the payment had in fact come off. I did wait in the car park on the day till I seen the debit or I would not have left my vehicle. I disputed the payment, sending evidence of my debit and was told that the charge stood as they cannot tie up the details. I explained I was not over the time (I had parked for 1hr 6mins and paid for 2 hrs) and that I had not set out to dupe them as I had clearly paid. They still refused but agreed to drop the fee to £20 as a gesture of goodwill. I still was annoyed at the way in which I was being spoken to in the emails, like a criminal, and enquired if the £20 was to be sent as £17 as I had already paid £3, which they had acknowledged. I also asked if they could send the reason for the fee as I imagined checking their records would be straightforward as they had the times/ the payment and the car- I merely didn’t want to make the same mistake again. They replied that I would still need to settle £20 and if I didn’t accept this it was back to £100 and they said, in all likelihood, I had input the wrong details. I’m sorry, that’s a woolly answer at best and we have no idea how many times they are telling us that human error has been blamed for a system which cannot categorically tell you where it has gone wrong. Easy blame. I pointed out that a £23 fee was not a gesture of goodwill when the payment had been evidenced, this would have been to waive the fee for a first offence when no ill-will was evident and the payment was already made. Had I the time in my life at the moment I would have taken this all the way but like most people I do have other things going on and I just wanted rid of this threatening behaviour. I can only imagine how many people like me are being put in a threatened corner by this scam - poor excuse for a company who need stopped in their tracks. It also beggars belief why this is legally being condoned as acceptable practice. No wonder this country is in such a state

Absolutely agree with all the low scoring comments on this site, this company is just out to scam people out of money , it’s time the business owners who partner up with this company realised that all these negative reviews will end costing them in the long run. Thinking of moving to Scotland so I can give this lot the run around.

This is an awful company. Fined me £100 for parking when I had to take my son in the shopping centre to be sick I had no time to pay as he was very unwell. Appealed to them and they refused it. Appalling customer service and no compassion just money grabbers! I offered to pay what the normal charge was but this was not acceptable and they requested £100 threatening legal action. They also took a front view picture of my car with my son in the front, that is not right! Will never use this parking again, please avoid and use the multi-storey! Will also be looking to take this further and contacting citizen advice people should not be treated like this being threatened by legal action and causing undue stress. Paying the actual charge should have been accepted under these circumstances.

Again got a ticket at Livingston as I entered and exited through the west entrance as it’s the side closest from my house, but parked in the south car park as there is no barriers to say that they are two separate car parks so I drove through thinking’s it’s one big car park. Paid using the Flowbird app as I have done 100 times before, got a ticket as I didn’t pay on the west side. Again no idea it’s two car parks as you can freely move between them. Appealed to the company, showing I paid and it’s a misunderstanding and had no response until I got issued with a debt collection agency letter for £170! Contacted the company again and they said nothing they can do so take up with Debt Recovery Plus! I paid as it was stressing me out but I wish I’d come here first to see what others have said! I even offered in my 2nd email to pay the original ticket cost but they won’t respond other than that 1 email saying take up with the collections agency! Seen as their getting complaints all about the same car park, Perhaps the company should do some recon on the car park they chose to represent and put up barriers so it splits the car parks. Livingston designer malls trustpilot is also flooded with the same issue so it’s clearly not clear enough to the public!
