Uk TravelzooReviews of uk.travelzoo.com

Travelzoo UK are a sham operation who steal your money! They reel you in with enticing advertising promising the world which they never deliver on and then they charge £30 a year to flood your inbox with sub standard travel deals that main line travel agencies send you for free. If you try and cancel they will refuse to give your money back even if you have a full year left ahead of you. When you ask for your money back they throw terms & conditions at you which they believe justifies their stealing of your money. I have reported them to UK Trading Standards. Avoid this sham of an operation like the plague.

They refused to give me my £30 sub back as they say that I cancelled one working day after deadline for cancelling. They insisted they did not receive a response from me and yet I received a quote in response at twice the advertised price . This has happened before and which is why I cancelled the sub. Don’t use as these are not people of integrity. Just received another letter from Travelzoo. Here is an extract from it - 'Regarding your membership renewal, I completely understand why you’re asking for a refund, and I do appreciate that you reached out as soon as you realised the issue. However, I’ve checked the account details, and your membership renewed on 17/01/2026 at 16:09 GMT, and we received your request to cancel on 19/01/2026 at 17:39 UTC. We do offer a 48‑hour grace period after a renewal in cases where a membership is purchased or renewed in error. Unfortunately, your request reached us outside of that 48‑hour window, which means we’re unable to issue a refund on this renewal.' Of course, it is not true that i cancelled after the necessary date. It was a little before renewal but they say they cannot find the email. In any case even if they are right that i was slightly late(by about one hour after the so called grace period) is this enough to justify not refunding because the very reason i cancelled is that they always quote way over the advertised price(quite often twice the price) and i decided it was not worth staying with them.

I don't like their customer service,They are ignoring me.

I cancelled my membership within 30 days They said you cancelled it on the 31st day I would never use them for any bookings

Travelzoo is a company with great customer service and real integrity. I decided not to renew my membership for a while but was a day late in cancelling it and Travelzoo accordingly took the renewal fee from my account. I emailed them explaining the situation. An hour later I received an email saying they had refunded the money. Five stars! This is a company that treats its customers well.
