U2.com is just a commercial company without any direct relation to the band. The yearly gifts are not worth the annual subscription fee. The only reason you might want to consider a subscription is that you maybe are able to buy pre-sale tickets for a new tour. But for me it is years ago that I could use that advantage. So I stop funding this company.
