used a terrible third party mover. Changed our price close to moving day
First close to the time of pick up they basically doubled our price because we added a few things. They used a third party moving company which was terrible. The experience we have had so far with the third party company hired to move our items. Express Movers is as follows. The gentlemen only spoke minimum English. They had to use the phone to communicate more than basic English. They didn’t mark or tag any box or item. when they delivered the items, things that were missing: a 55 inch TV, A NEW chrome ceiling fan, two irreplaceable pictures. 1-our son’s cub scout uniform with all his awards and a picture of our son’s college campus from the 1970’s, a coat rack was broken and most of the boxes were either badly bangled or the plastic cracked. I have placed a claim with CSI. We will see how it goes. Terrible terrible, terrible, experience. ...For the expense! Well Frontier Moving Solutions replied with a regular, I am sorry reply. Yes, they are a moving broker. That means they should be vetting MUCH more careful the contractors they use and responsible for whom they broker out to. Then having to file a 3rd party claim that can take up to 120 days. Wow. Not good business at all. They will never get a recommendation from us unless they compensate us some how. Our personal insurance should not be involved. Frontier Moving Solutions hired a company ( independent contractor-contract was still in Frontier Moving Solutions name. That company did a terribly unreasonable job. Frontier Moving solutions reps sounds so nice on the phone then they stick you with a company that doesn't even tag the boxes and then drivers go through your items and clearly take what they want. Awful business. I was a business owner for many years and hired many independent contractors. I ultimately had to take responsibility of those independent contractors if something went wrong. I made sure I made things right with the customer. I didn't just say oh they are independent and dismiss their egregious errors and stealing or misplacement of items. I wrote an email to both Heather and Marisa if you want to talk about this further. I am also going to pursue to know if the drivers were legal immigrants or illegally. They couldn’t speak hardly any English and had to play a recorded message on the phone. I want to know if they actually passed their licenses test!

Hello Marianne, We are very sorry to hear about your experience and the issues you’ve described. To clarify, Frontier Moving Solutions is a licensed interstate moving broker, which means we coordinate and schedule moves through our carrier network. The actual pickup, transport, and delivery of items are carried out by the assigned carrier. We understand your frustration regarding the pricing changes. Estimates are based on the inventory provided at booking, and adjustments are made by the carrier at pickup if additional items, volume, or services are required. While this is standard across the industry, we recognize how stressful it can feel so close to moving day. Regarding the damages and missing items you mentioned, we are glad to see you have already filed a claim with CSI Pros, the independent claims company that handles all damage and loss reviews for interstate moves. This is the proper channel to ensure your concerns are formally investigated and resolved. Our team remains available to assist you in tracking and supporting that process. We regret that this move did not meet your expectations. While challenges do occasionally occur in long-distance moves, we are committed to helping our customers through the claims process and continuing to improve communication and coordination with our carrier partners. Best Wishes, Management Frontier Moving Solutions
