If I could give a minus 5 rating even that would be too high. Frontier Moving out of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida is a completely fraudulent bait and switch mover. They provide a contract based upon the size of your shipment. Then use an actual moving company to show up...use excessive packing materials and add-on fees on the day of pickup and present a totally different contract with 3 choices. 1) Accept the new addional fees 2) Offload part of the shipment or 3) surrender your initial (1/3 payment) and they offload your entire shipment. They hide behind the idea they are not actually the movers...only the brokers. Which was never explained or pointed out during the original contract signing. When the movers show up at the end of the day....they present a NEW CONTRACT that has an addiotional 12% fuel surcharge, a convenience fee??, addional packing materials when everything was already packed in boxes, and then increased the estimated 250cu ft to 450 cu ft simple because of their additional packing materials. The total is roughly 1/3 higher than the original contract and you're basically stuck with having to pay the higher amount with ZERO apologies or reasonable alternatives. NEVER EVER use FRONTIER ....they're totally dishonest in their contracting and shipping practices.

This is a review & major PUBLIC WARNING for the True North Moving and Storage company based in Toronto Ontario. website: truenorthmoving.ca tel: 647-600-8515, 437-318-4918, 877-868-4404. There is no physical address online, thus no Google Reviews for this company which is already a flashing RED FLAG for these scammers but we didn't see that coming... There are legit moving companies with similar names e.g True North Movers, True North Moving & Delivery with 4.8 to 5 ratings, but confusion is the scammers' usual cover up, to hide their true identity and deceive naive people... Their scam is simple, they give you a low weight estimate & sweet talk you to send them the initial $200 deposit. Then they pick up your stuff (with a U-Haul rental in my case at 7.00 pm while they were supposed to be here at 10.00 am the day before). After that they literally own you. They call you the next day after you have received an outrageous invoice for inflated weight ($5500 for 7500 lbs in my case) demanding an imediate e-transfer, despite you were told you could pay with credit card, like you did for your deposit! When I tried to prove the inflated weight scam to their Operation Manager, a foreign national named Lucas Galatas, I was told, right in my face that I am in no position to negotiate anything, implying that I will never see my stuff ever again!!! This is the same scambag Lucas that has a Dec 3rd, 1 star review posted for this American company, obviously annoyed about the bad publicity he is getting for his company and trying desperately to defend their "Canadian" company with the same name to save their reputation. Needless to say that my stuff arrived late (again) on a different white truck (no logo, no insignia) partly destroyed (my bicycle bent & not drivable, furniture with many scratches) and poor speaking English workers apologising in advance to our complains about the experience. MOVE AWAY and choose another moving company in Ontario, Canada if you value your hard earned money & sanity!

this is not our company this is a company in the US we have no affiliation with this company we are True North Moving based in Canada please check out our company please see the difference in our Logo and website

Man I hope people do better research than I did. Nothing new in this review, it’s the same schtick as everybody else. They quote you the lowest SQ footage of space and then you end up paying a ton more for extra footage on the truck. They add a bunch of charges for extra steps they have to walk or climb. They charge to wrap and box your stuff. Before you know it, you are paying $1K higher with the moving company than Frontier quoted. I really hope someone reads this and doesn’t get scammed like I did. And please don’t trust the fake review that the reps send you as proof of their great service because it is a LIE!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY which was originally called FRONTIER MOVING SOLUTIONS which they changed as well as removed there website. Is all they charge you is fees, originally when I went with them I was told that I needed to pay an additional $500.00 as I added items to my list. Then on the day the Moving company showed up I was told that it would be an additional $790.00 as they had no idea what the cubic feet was. They also told me they had no inventory list but that it was going to be more, after moving and calling this company back. I was told that when I updated my list they only updated my square footage from 300 SQ Ft to 309 SQ feet when I almost DOUBLED my items. You would be better off to go with U-Haul, Pods, or just work directly with a shipper. I thought by going through a company like this they would take care of all of this but every step of the way I seemed to have to do all the work. Even after I was charged the $790.00 I called that day and was told it was MY FAULT that I didn't call them, when originally I thought that's why I was paying for there services so all of this would be negotiated for me. What I was originally quoted for this was around $2,140.00 I ended up paying over $3,600.00, and then was told the only reason I paid the additional $500.00 was Fees and that they have no idea or cant even calculate the square footage but that there SYSTEM is DOT approved... STEER CLEAR!

Contacted with first estimate without walk through. Requested a reassessment with video walk-through. Got asked to move to WhatsApp for walk through, they claim it denied the virtual walkthrough on new invoice that was sent around 10 minutes after the walk through was completed. (Possibly an unrecorded line since number for whatsapp is not the same on invoice) Price added 50 dollars, 300ish cubic feet. Get a call from their qa i give then rounded up dimensions of largest boxes, says it'll be close, but shouldn't be bad. Day of comes around, the movers say (i dont blame them, they are doing their job not their fault Frontier low estimated) that the volume is 600 cubic feet. Doubling the needed space, and just shy of doubling the price of the move. They said "i could get a charge back but they'll just fight it and the company will win and it won't be good for me," "I signed an estimate that said I waived the virtual walkthrough" even though their recorded lines will have me asking for the reassessment and video walk through to make sure day of i dont get any surprises. And my personal favorite "you got 3 options, pay the increased fee, only load what the estimate covers, or cancel and forfeit your nonrefundable deposit and accept that if you do that your move just became more expensive equal to that deposit." They even said based on videos and pictures, the quote was low for what I was trying to ship. Again, implying that they can see that the quote was way too low to begin with and should have been increased when they got the video and pictures. Don't waste your time and money.

WHAT A SCAM!!! If I can rate zero stars I would. The cost of my move doubled before they even picked me up because they called me a couple days before and told me my inventory was completely wrong. Then my move cost doubled again when the driver showed up and worst of all, my items were damaged when they delivered 3 weeks late. STAY AWAY!!!
