There was exactly one online store claiming to have the camera battery I needed. One. I ordered it like a dumdum. They sent me the wrong battery. I called the customer service number and guess what?…they don’t have the battery either.

Purchased Canon battery through Tri Star. They shipped me the wrong battery. They admitted shipping the wrong battery but wanted me to pay to return the battery. I had no problem returning it first but refused to spend additional money for the shipping. Told them to provide prepaid label, then the communications stopped. Their responses to me averaged 3 -5 days. after 25 days I haven't heard a peep from them. DO NOT waste your time and money with Tri Star. There are too many higher quality vendors to choose from.

Got multiple fraudulent charges on my credit card after purchasing a lens on Tri-State camera website. I had to cancel the credit card. I called Tri-State and they were surprised to hear the issue, but apparently I was not the first one by looking at these reviews. Supposedly they cancelled my order but I'm not sure I trust them anymore. Not sure if their system is not secure enough, or they have problems with their employees stealing credit card numbers, but whatever it is, I'd stay away from them.

As with another review of Tri-State Camera here, I experienced a fraudulent charge on my card hours after having placed my order online. I had not used this card for anything else in months. The charge was for "PlagiarismRemover.co". Fortunately I was able to cancel my card before my order was fulfilled or other fraudulent charges were placed. This was my first interaction with this company, and it will be my last.

If you need advice or help in the camera industry, Michael at tri-state camera is a great point of contact. They are more of a throwback shop and great to talk to you over the phone. They also have great prices on international models of cameras.

I've ordered twice online over the last year from Tri-State Camera, but no more. The first time I was sent an international version of an item instead of a U.S. version. The second time the wrong item was sent. In both cases, there was either no response or a 2 week delay from customer service through the website. Calling them didn't help either, when I could get someone to pick up. Good luck getting a return label. Refund for the second item took 2 support tickets, 3 web contacts, 3 phone calls and 29 DAYS. BEWARE.
