I like the school. Very good for me as I had to be a stay at home dad with 6 kids so I was unable to go to an actual school. What I liked: was the ability to work at my own pace Student counselors were lots of help Work load was not to much to handle Ability to finish earlier than the alloted time What needed improvement; Some of the teachers were useless. And not very understanding. Two separate occasions had teachers quit in the middle of class starting and was never notified until I complained my work was my being graded. What I didn't like: The constant changes being made to how basic class procedures. ( this was difficult in the process as I went to 6 and half years of this school and being accustom to a flow I did each class then to have it changed and try to get used to it) For example. After 6 years of school my final 2 classes had penalties for assignments being turned in off schedule. The school sold me on Turing your assignment whenever possible even though they had a prompt schedule. But being downgraded points for work I did because the prior 6 years I did it a certain way was frustrating. Another things that was very bad was the class participation work. It is required to make one posting and respond to 3 classmates postings. But, several classes I got failing grades in the class partcitpation because no one else was either in the class or was responding. So I got deducted points in several classes cause I didn't make the required replied responses. Finally had 1 teacher tell me to respond to my own post. So I essentially had to have a 4 post conversation with myself to get credit. It was stupid and it cost me a few good grades in my classes. Specially when 5 years in the change how much those responses accounted for your grade. Went from 10% for first 5 years to 20% last year and half. And my last year and half is when my classes didn't have many students as not many people go for there masters I guess. But I give it 4 stars cause i got my masters degree and was able to take care of my family at the same time and In a decent time frame.

I earned my Bachelors and Masters at this University. They are very engaged. I have no complaints with the professors or staff. The only thing I didn't really like was when the changed the assignment deadlines. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this school to all of my friends and family members that are interested in going back to school.

I was much happier with Trident bedore 2013 the internet programs were easier to maneuver then. I also originally enrolled in Touro then Trident because they didn't penalize for late work. But toward the end of my 3rd masters the rules changed making my life harder to make all of my assignments on time.

Military and Veteran friendly, I have received 3 degrees from Trident (1 undergraduate and 2 graduate degrees). They have great faculty that take life into consideration and allow some flexibility in assignment submission. The courses offered are engaging and force the student to think outside of the box in order to reach effective solutions for their issues. I especially like the new(er) Fastrak sessions as they allow you to reach your educational goals at a better pace than the traditional sessions.

I enjoyed both my BS and MAED experience with Trident overall. One recommendation I would make for the MAED is to incorporate the required classes needed to better prepare for the Capstone. I further recommend that if a student is pursuing a degree in education with a concentration in teaching that teaching credentials/licensure requirements be incorporated into the curriculum to help the student maximize their effectiveness and marketability in the job market upon graduation.

The APA style was stated as the correct way to organize writing assignments. I found that most of the professors had differing views of what that meant. One told me the date retrieved was no longer needed. Another said it was. A third required the title page to include the assignment at the lower third of the paper. Most of the professors were great about easing date restrictions as needed. They also were knowledgeable and several would allow text or personal calls when assistance was wanted.
