Guides, routes and Venue are top notch

It was a fantastic trip, made great by our extremely professional and charismatic guides. (I can only imagine your hiring practices!) Advanced planning, routes, dining and accommodations were all top notch. My only criticism was that with 22 riders it was a big group with too few road bike riders (nine) and too many e-assist and e-moped riders. It seems as though they were on a different trip for a different experience, and it was like herding cats for our guides. I trained for and expected to be on a challenging road bike trip, but obviously others did not. Can these riders be split up on different trips, especially when the group is so large? We actually felt some resentment from the e-bikers - as if they could have done much more with their day without us road bikers lagging behind on the long climbs.

The trip was excellent. The guides were exceptional. The hotel accommodations were fantastic. The one complaint I have is that while they attempted to accommodate dietary allergies or vegetarians, the meal selections were a little lacking. I think that multiple offerings of lamb (which few people in the US eat) was excessive. I would have liked to see the options at meals of two or three optional choices for main courses to accommodate dietary preferences such as fish and red meat or vegetarian tastes.

Guides were excellent as was the restaurant selection. The Trek provided GPS unit did not work well. On two separate days it ceased providing the course I was to follow. It did not show I was off-course.....the course just ended during the ride, and did not resume

Guides were amazing and provided white glove service! The bike are incredible and fit perfect ,if a minor adjustment was needed the guides accommodating immediately. Accommodations were great ,with very interesting heritage hotels in small Italian towns. The food was a bit disappointing as two of the dinners were on our own, and the ones covered by the trip were very carb heavy without much protein. Breakfast options were great. Given the price to value ratio, expected more robust dinner options. Second to last day was way too much time spent on a bus, really need to break that up

The trip was carefree and classy without being snooty. There was a great balance between ride time, free time and planned activities. They do a good job accommodating riders of all levels and abilities. What was really nice is that everything was carefree so you could relax and also enjoy the rides. They take care of everything so you can get on the bike and ride then hand the bike off at the end of the day. We had a couple of issues which is why 4 stars vs 5 1. The first day 16 out of 18 people in our group ended up is the wrong location and missed 1/2 of the route. The guides then blamed the guest - if 1 or 2 people get lost that is one thing, but when 16 get lost and all end up in the same place (we were not riding in a pack). 2. I upgraded my bike to the checkpoint + ($399 extra) but encountered technical issues with the electronics. The guides tried to fix it, but I don’t think they were trained properly on that bike. The other rider with the checkpoint+ had similar issues. We reached out to Trek leadership and they pretty much blew us off.

We had a wonderful time in the beautiful, dramatic Dolomites. The new gravel bikes were flawless, the routes offered a lot of variety, and the guides were kind and knowledgeable.
