All the company does is sell rip off items, they charge you a fortune for a service which takes about 5 mins, this company needs to go and be replaced because they are a embarrassment. And the guy in the Bath store is so rude, they have a 1 on 1 shopping when the store is massive you could easily fit 10+ people into there at once with social distancing measures.

Purchased a Marlin 5 Mountain Bike about a year ago with only 6 months riding of it, due to the terrible weather we get in Yorkshire. Already have had issues. Had to replace the de-railer, the original one bent and started to catch on spokes, had to replace gear cable which was splitting, the grub screw for the brakes comes out each time it is ridden, and finally this week the skewer holding the front wheel on has sheared off. This bike is gradually falling apart, what will be next? Luckily it wasn’t being ridden fast when the skewer snapped otherwise that could have been dangerous. Not happy at all and would never buy another Trek bike. And what do you get when you phone Trek, oh it needs a service. I don’t think a service would have prevented the skewer snapping! I think they have put all cheap, lower end parts on this bike but that makes it unreliable and dangerous to ride when things just break after such a short time of use.

I purchased a trek x caliber 9 £850 bike 3 years ago.The bottom bracket has now worn away the thread inside the frame.Apparently there is nothing that can be done apart from a new frame ,which will cost £350 and the rebuild costs of £110 .Very disappointed with both my bike and trek, who are not interested at all.How can this happen surely a design fault .I have had many bikes in the past and all lasted a lot longer than this. Hence beware if you are looking to buy a trek bike as it might only last you a couple of years!!!

Warning: A few weeks agoI bought a Domane SL5 with a blue frame. I specifically chose this bike for it's colour. After 2 weeks I detected a small fracture in the carbon frame and filed a warranty claim. Trek granted the claim and will replace the frame, however the replacement frame is black. Apparently it's company policy to have neutral coloured replacement frames for warranty claims because it's (and I quote): too difficult (read too expensive) to have replacement frames in all colours. Ridiculous!! And Trek does not offer any compensation for your inconvenience. So beware: when your frame has to be replaced under warranty: Trek decides which colour it will be!

//Line
