Costly Disappointment
Despite what Trek try's to make everyone believe, Warranty is their last priority. In 2019 I purchased my most recent Madone - "Project One". Yes, I was an idiot to pay $12k and boy do i regret it now!! While washing the bike in June of 2020 I noticed a major crack in the "highly promoted, highest grade OCLV 700 series Carbon Frame. Yes, They agreed it was a manufacturing defect and agreed to replace it at no cost. The catch is it will take them approximately 75 days to complete the work. in 58 years I have never waited 75 days for any warranty work to be completed. In Colorado that is nearly the entire summer. How is it that the world famous TREK does not have a single Madone Frame available that can be painted and replaced in a reasonable amount of time? obviously it is not their Priority. They are also very good at making it difficult to get in touch with. Try their customer service line, minimum one hour wait time to talk with someone. No way to email them or chat online. They put all the responsibility on their dealers and then tie their hands. Pathetic example of what used to be a great company. My advice, don't take the chance, there are too many way better companies to buy from.

I ordered an expensive mountain bike…
I ordered an expensive mountain bike helmet from Trekbikes.com. First, it took 3 days to get a confirmation email. Then I waited for 3 weeks to receive it. Finally, out of frustration, I called their 800 number and was told by their phone recording, it would take 30 minutes for them to answer. So I waited, and when someone finally picked up 30 minutes later, and I explained that I had not yet received my helmet after ordering it 3 weeks ago, they told me it has been discontinued. Their only explanation was that their computer must have lost my order when the helmet was discontinued. So when exactly were they going to tell me? Never? At the time I ordered this, they supposedly had at least one, or it should not have been for sale online. At the time of ordering, other places had this same helmet, and now they don't. I now am forced to buy a helmet that is $30 more expensive. DO NOT BUY from this company. Their customer service sucks.

Que vaut la garantie TREK ?
Bonjour,

Don't trust their One-year Free…
Don't trust their One-year Free Guarentee when you buy a trek bike. You have to pay for repairing a natuarally occurring problem, that happens frequently.
More terrible thing. Don't trust their reponse for your review.
They said they would refund, that is not requested by me. But nothing happened, just I spent my time and energy for following their words.

***DONT BUY KIDS BIKES****Bought 2 trek…
***DONT BUY KIDS BIKES****Bought 2 trek bikes for my sons spending nearly £ 1000 in the fox valley store - 5 months in both derailer needed replacing we took them back to store - frames are under warranty but wheels and other parts are not - we did argue the point as the bikes were relatively new and hadn’t had that much use with it being winter - they did discount it but we still ended up paying 70 pound. Our children at the time were 6 and 11, neither of them Evel Knievel - the bikes are moderately used - all this was challenged by the staff in store as they did not want to give us any discount but we disputed this. So we were told that the children need to be careful when putting the bike down, don’t go up and down curbs and so on - basically the bikes are not built sturdy enough for kids. We are now over a year into having the bikes - my eldest sons bike has just been taken for a service and it’s completely knackered!!!! All the hub needs replacing it’s not fit for purpose it’s now going to cost £200 - AS IF!!! These bikes look nice, the store looks nice but don’t get drawn in- these bikes are not sturdy and durable for children. All in all within 18 months we are expected to be paying £270 in maintenance- this won’t be happening and unfortunately we are going to write off the purchase as a very bad experience and total waste of money - our advice don’t do it - look somewhere else for your children’s bikes they are not built with kids in mind

Trek Madone 4.5 Warranty?
I bought a Trek Madone 4.5 from the main retailer in Hungary with a lifetime warranty on the frame. About a month and a half ago, the bike started creaking and I had decided to take it bake to the dealership to be serviced. However, before I could, on my last ride on it the seat complete with seat post came out in my hand. Apparently, there is an aluminum tube within the carbon seat tube. This aluminum tube had broken. I took it back to the dealership, they photographed it, questioned me about use and sent the pictures to their main offices. After more than 3 weeks and countless phone calls from being passed from one sales assistant to the next, I finally received the news that Trek refuses to honor their warranty agreement, because they claim I had fallen with it. How could I have fallen with only damaging the inner aluminum seat tube, without having damaged (not even a scratch) any other part of the bicycle, seat, or received any injuries myself. Their warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on. Why offer a lifetime guarantee, if you're not going to honor it? Why not?

Don’t trust their warranty
Don’t trust their warranty. If your frame suddenly cracks, they’ll blame you and say that your warranty doesn’t cover it. How can a person possibly do something so severe to a non-defective bike that the frame alone cracks and the rider has no injuries? Just take your business somewhere else, somewhere more trustworthy.
