Marlin paint quality
Exactly the same as previous person reported lovely radiant red paint on a marlin 8 but chips at the smallest knock straight down to bright white primer. Frame looks awful in short time

Xcaliber 9 only 4 months old and light use started clicking when pedalling narrowed it down to BB or cranks then singled out movement in cranks after replacing BB with Hope one. Mechanic said could feel it yet only regreased BB.4 1/2 months after noise came back , personally think mechanic overtightened something to stop the noise.Got in touch with Trek again don't really want to know.I can take it in to dealer but will have to pay if they don't find a manufacturing fault. No confidence in the mechanic to sort it out after just regreasing BB. Could not recommend Trek.Have got 23 year old GT which has never given me any problems.

I am writing a review and call to action by TREK in Waterloo, WI not my or anyone else's local dealer. TREK bought crappy Bontrager and continue to disappoint. So many of use purchased $9k Emonda SLR series bikes and some bought TT bikes that had faulty handle bars. If you contact TREK through social media you get poor Brandon responding with the line ,"New bars will shipped within the next few months" WELL NOW it has been 5 months, and no new bars. All BONTRAGER bars that are integrated or not, XXX lite,VRC have disappeared from their website. Trust me when I say NO ONE from TREK itself will respond because they KNEW people crashed because of the faulty VRC integrated bar in February 2022. TREK owes us all either replacement bars/BIKES or the $700 to buy a better made bar from another company. It is obvious TREK will not meet their due diligence. I have toyed with suing them here in the US because there is a warranty/Lemon law that applies to bicycles. Look at it this way.....I do not spend big money on cars. If I did and bought a high end sports car with carbon rims and the carbon rims failed, you bet the car manufacturer would have a fix and keep the VALUE of the car what we paid for it. Or replace the car with no accusations of consumers lying about crashes like TREK did numerous times. My bike is now worth half it's value because it is not the bike I purchased. So, this is where the warranty law takes effect. Either TREK Bikes replaces the bar that is safe or gives us the PURCHASE price of the bikes we bought.... so cyclists can buy a bike that is safe, from a company that will keep it's customers happy. I always said I would never buy a TREK. Then my local shop, who I am loyal too, convinced me to try it, I did and WILL NOT again. I am at a place where I can spend money on bikes if I wish. But I worked TRIPLE Overload (overtime) to get my EMONDA SLR7. Trek Sagefredo advertises TREK's bikes by riding them in pro-tour races. The pros are paid to represent and ride them. We as consumers see these machines, and have to work hard for the cash to PURCHASE and RIDE what WE PAY FOR. Do not buy TREK BIKES with low end crap Bontrager stuff. If I buy an aftermarket bar, which is what I am going to do, for bike fit reasons, I expect TREK to pay the difference of the value of the bike. NOT MY LOCAL BIKE SHOP. TREK owes us. Trek asked me for my phone number so someone could reach out to me.....Local Bike Shop Called because TREK is run by weak people without backbones to pay up. TREK should have contacted me not the LBS. If you do not have your replacement bar or bike (man all you TT folks are screwed too). Make some noise. REAL noise.

E dopo molto tempo quello in carbonio.

This review would be negative 3 stars if allowed. My Son participates on a Mountain bike team and races NICA - We "supposedly" upgraded to the Trek Supercaliber. We bought the bike in March of 2021. We noticed the paint chipped on the top of the frame and then progressed larger and larger. The Bike was NOT crashed nor can we figure out how or when an impact was made that would carck the carbon frame. We took the Bike to our Trek dealer and they said that they cannot honor the warranty because it was an impact on the bike. I spent $6900.00 on a new bike and am now told that due to no warranty that they will give us a %30 discount on the frame which puts us out of pocket another $2900.00. I am Distgussed with Trek over this and will never buy TREK products again. I will also make sure that NICA, and our MTB racing community in Texas has the information and pitfalls of TREK warranties. The purchase is not worth the risk of losing out on a cracked frame.

Pathetic. I bought a marlin 7 2022 bike for my 14 year old to commute to school. £830. Within 18 months Rear mesh Brakes front and back Chain Front and back tyres Wheels need straightening Bottom bracket Hanger True and new inner gear cable All need doing How much to fix?? £400 Yes half the price of the whole bike for parts that have just literally fallen apart after 18 months.
