We did a custom tailored trip to Egypt in March 2020. A few things had to get changed in the last minute because of Covid-19, but still, everything went off flawlessly. Our guides and drivers were superb and our hotels and meals were fabulous. Because of Travelous’ arrangements, we could completely relax and just enjoy the whole experience. Their intimate knowledge of what to see, how to get there, and where to stay saved us lots of time and uncertainty. They truly care about each individual traveler and go above and beyond in their customer relations. A big thank you to Chris Bazos for making it all possible. A+ all the way!

We had a great trip to Egypt!!! Our travel agent (Chris), airport representative (Samer) and tour guides (Lamey & Eman) were great! We had a lot of fun!!

It has always been a dream of mine to visit Egypt. Because of that I had a lot of very specific places I wanted to visit and see. I was also taking my family along, so I needed to satisfy a wide range of needs for this trip. My wife is also very organized and had a lot of questions around the trip. We drove Chris (our rep at Travelous) a bit crazy before we even booked anything. While in Egypt we were always guided by someone, weather it was from the airport to the hotel or while at all the great sites. The guides were great. They were able to engage with me and answer all my very technical questions, yet they keep it interesting for my kids (10 & 14). The guides also did cool things with the kids and let my wife and I have a moment to relax and have a drink. The guides also adjusted things on fly for me. There was also a really good mix between the tourist’s spots and authentic Egypt. If you ever traveled to Egypt there are a number of very pushy locals trying to sell goods and services to you. The guides kept us away from this and in the few spots this was not possible they did a great job of protecting us from it. They were also very good and negating the price of all the trinkets we purchased.

We had a wonderful trip in Egypt thanks to the hard work and advice of Chris and Travelous. Prior to the trip, the communication was very smooth and easy and they worked to tailor the trip to our needs. Our experience in Egypt was phenomenal. The entire tour worked like clock work without any issues and really helped to make it an incredible experience. The guides, representatives, hotels, and drivers were all top notch. They worked to make sure we visited sites when they were less crowded. Both Eman (Cairo) and Lamey (Luxor/Aswan) were unique guides that really understood the philosophy and art behind the history. They also helped us avoid a lot of the tourist traps and only took us to specific shops that we wanted to go to rather than the forced visit to merchants that I have done on other non-travelous tours in the past. Would use Travelous again without hesitation.

Took a family trip to Egypt for 10 days. Chris did a fantastic job organizing our trip - he really made sure he personalized the trip to our tastes and picked the best hotels/guides throughout our stay. Visited Alexandria, Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and Abu Simbel, highly recommend to spend more time in Luxor and Aswan - there is so much to see in each city. Lammy (Ahmed), our tour guide for the Nile portion, was the best! He really gave us an authentic Egyptian tour- visited the locals houses/saw their culture outside of the usual tourist sites, made sure we visited the tourist sites when they were less crowded, and even went to his house and met his family - made the trip super memorable for us!!!! I would highly recommend Travelous and the local Egyptian tour companies they use - they will really make sure your Egyptian trip will be one you don't forget!

Our Travelous planned trip to Egypt was one of our best. Their local guides (Eman and Lamey) are amazing and experienced Egyptologists. They brought the history of Egypt and the people of the country to life. On ground logistics were perfect -- great drivers and vehicles. Travelous went the extra mile when we needed to change our arrival at the last minute, quickly rearranging lodging and the itinerary. Chris Bazos knows a great deal about Egypt and sent us to great local restaurants.They also handled a problem with lodging in Aswan in a good way.

The Travelous agent created an excellent itinerary for our needs and wants for our excursion to the Middle East. He was easy to work with and communications were timely. He procured excellent guides, drivers, and airport agents. These guides and drivers were superb at being flexible with the daily itinerary to accommodate weather and other unforeseen events that came up. The airport agents were also indispensable in assisting us through airports where the processes could be difficult. I would recommend and book another trip with this particular agent any day if I were to be visiting another country in which he specializes!
