DEATH isn't good enough for a claim.
I was going to fly out to see a friend in Seattle and enjoy a concert while there. Her mother DIED and the funeral, 1,300 miles away, was the day after I was to arrive. The first denial said since it wasn't my mom, they couldn't refund. When I contacted the BBB, they changed it to, my friend wasn’t named in the policy and it was denied. They have a section talking about travel companion, but she was not considered that even though 1.) she was my lodging, 2.) she was going to be my companion to a concert. So, I was flying out to Seattle from Minnesota and the funeral was in Iowa. This wasn't good enough? I had a letter from the funeral home that said I was in attendance at the funeral. Nope, not good enough.
