Planned a trip and then the covid prevalence at my destination surged, resulting in an increased level of the US State Dept's Travel Advisory and my cancellation. Filed a claim. Aon's reply was that I basically had to die or get a letter from a Dr that I was too sick to travel for them to compensate me. Such a typical insurance story. I will not consider purchasing again.

Have you ever read their lengthy advertisement on how weddings get cancelled all the time and you should buy cancellation insurance for your trip in case this happens to you? Well, it happened to me. I filed a claim. It was denied. They claimed that there is no such advertisement. Be careful. Just use a company with more than 1 star reviews.

Expect to be on hold for no less then 20 minutes, their site is always down so you can never upload documents and it's very difficult to get in contact with a human being. I have emailed them asking for a call back and nothing. Horrible customer service!! Check to see if the (Travel) insurance you are purchasing is Aon if so, get your own. I would highly recommend you stay away.

In 2019 purchased a weeks stay at a villa near Disney for nine people, four of the people were children. We got very worried because of Covid and I started to try to cancel and get my refund from this if you can call it, a travel insurance company 2020 in the summer/fall… they kept putting us off and then my grandson broke his elbow and he couldn’t travel because he needed surgery snd ongoing therapy which he is still undergoing. They kept telling me to submit a doctors form and the doctor kept losing it and I just decided to cancel it all together “for any reason”which is what I bought the insurance for anyway Without indicating the need for ongoing therapy. They kept fooling around and finally said in Separate 9 emails, In one day to me. I had purchased the trip And assumed that I would be getting the check. Each of the emails to me had each one of the nine people indicated on the emails. I sent them a message not to send individual checks but of course that’s what they did even for children under the age of nine at the time when I purchased it. So now I have all these checks for nine individual people including children that I can’t cash. I have sent them a message to put it in one check to me because I have paid for it. But got no response after a week. I had a number of the other trips scheduled for me and for friends during the outbreak of Covid and I have canceled because I always buy Insurance as do my friends. We never used AON .We have been all reimbursed for all those other trips except this company/AON. I have told my travel agent to never recommend it. I am a world traveler and I have never experienced this before. I will tell everybody I know about this company and how lousy and crooked they are.

I cancelled travel insurance for the amount of $866 (two people). It took 10 or more calls to get my money refunded..after I demanded to speak with a manager. I told her in the best customer voice that they were absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. I did get my refund after 4 weeks. TO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.

Do not ever buy travel insurance from this company. They are trained to immediately decline every claim. I am completely beside myself to have been denied. I have always purchased travel insurance through major airlines. AON Affinity is a company whose shady underhanded business practices have lead me to reconsider. I would not advise anybody do business with this company.

Garbage company. They won't pay out for legitimate cancellations, despite claiming otherwise. Looks like fraud to me.

Terrible experience. Predatory company. Tried file a trip insurance claim for Ireland quarantine preventing travelers from US. Policy specifically covers QUARANTINE. Refused to pay. Rejected claim for 6 months. Pursuing legal action.
