I purchased Aon through Norwegian thinking, if needed, the process for reimbursement would be smoother and quicker using the company they promoted. Just one more thing about Norwegian I got wrong. Aon is SLOW and only responds with canned replies. If you but travel insurance for a Norwegian cruise, DO NOT waste your money on their insurance. Be smarter than me….read the reviews and find another alternative.

AVOID AON. DO NOT PURCHASE AON TRAVEL INSURANCE. There is a Monty Python skit where John Cleese visits his insurance agent to file a claim against his automobile policy. The agent Michael Palin reads the policy and says “Mr Cleese. The fine print in your policy clearly states that in the event of a claim, we will pay absolutely nothing. That is why our premiums are so cheap.” Obviously, AON is also a fan of Monty Python. After 3 months of correspondence, in the end AON paid nothing. Zero. Zip. Nada. Mafi, Rien. Keine. Our claim was clear, but no payment. AON responds with auto-generated emails. Other than calling their Manila call center who have zero authority, you will never talk to a human.

We paid for Aon travel insurance for a cruse to Mexico with Carnival cruise line in June 2022. My husband was positive for Covid .They gave us only part of the money back. We could not send an appeal online, only by mail. We sent the appeal and receive no response. There is no actual person to talk to about not receiving the money. This company is a joke.

If I could give zero, I would.. Submitted claim 3 1/2 months ago.. Can't get answers on the phone and when they tell you someone will call back, you never hear from them.. Would NOT recommend or ever use again.. I will be contacting the insurance commission to file a complaint..

I would give them zero if I could. In FEBRUARY I fell in Egypt and ended up with a concussion. In Egypt, my travel provider submitted a claim on my behalf. I received messages 3 days in a row but due to being incapacitated and the 7 hour time difference I wasn't able to respond for days. When I did, I was told that since they hadn't heard from me they closed the claim. Nice. I instructed them to open it. I was attended by a Doctor in Egypt and a CAT scan when I got home to the US. After repeated efforts all spring to submit a claim witih AON, I finally got AON to send me confirmation of the receipt of my claim dated May 10th. Efforts to check on the status of the claim have been futile. Don't even bother trying to use their website unless you like watching the spinning circle. Sending emails is equally futile unless you like boilerplate responses. Calling them is hopeless, they have some apology script that they spout endlessly and don't waste your time asking for a supervisor unless you like sitting on hold and more excuses. Today's date 8/8/2022, six months after my concussion, I still have no reimbursement for my medical expenses. I WILL NEVER USE AON AGAIN and I am turning them in to my New York State Insurance Commissioner.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Claim submitted May 14, 2022 with 8 follow up's either email or phone thru Aug. 2, 2022. Absolute WORST travel insurance company. Made mistake of purchasing Aon for April/May Transatlantic cruise; purchased thru NCL. NEVER AGAIN. ALLIANZ is the BEST travel insurance; they process claims quickly and efficiently.

In order to file a claim, I uploaded all of the documents AON requested on April 13. Their website says allow up to 21 business days. It has now been 68 business days. I have called seven times. The customer service rep always reads from the same script. A manager is never readily available. I have been promised call backs, but have only received one. That call was from "Zelma" in claims on July 15. She said all of the material required to settle the claim has been received. She said settlement would be "soon". One week later, no notice from AON. I called again and received the same old recitation of the "I am sorry" script. Again, no manager available. 8/9/2022--I filed complaints with the BBB and the NYS Insurance Department on 7/22. Checks were cut on 7/27. They are less than the amount submitted for. The letter the check was attached to said and explanation was attached. It was not. I called the telephone number on the letter. The rep told me to contact the travel company. His final solution was to re-submit the claim.
