Wish I could give it 0 stars. I filed a claim on 6/21/22 and still waiting to get my money. I broke my ankle a month before the trip. I just called today (10/3/22) and was told to give them another 30 days. NEVER buy AON travel insurance. I don't know why Azamara sells their insurance. No way to escalate to someone. Extremely frustrated.

I paid for added insurance with Road Scholar and AON for a trip to Spain in April, 2022. I contracted Covid and had to isolate for a week. I missed half the trip. I did not see a doctor but Road Scholar had a lab test me for Covid and it was positive. AON is refusing to reimburse me and Road Scholar said that if I was not happy with their insurance I could buy my own. Not helpful at all. This is a huge scam and others are getting the same treatment. Beware Road Scholar and AON. They do not honor their committment.

5 months and still waiting on our reimbursement! I think AON does everything they can possible do to avoid paying you. Not sure why Royal Caribbean would even associate themselves with them. Certainly does not make me want to utilize RCC anymore. We keep getting the run around and every person you talk to has opposing information. We have supplied all the requested information and now they want medical records? Isn't that a HIPPA violation> It's absolutely ridiculous.

We filed our claim with Aon Trip Insurance on May 15, 2022. We were on a cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines and bought our travel insurance through them. When our trip was disrupted, NCL assured the American Consulate in Barcelona that we would be reimbursed in a timely manner. It's September 23 and I am still getting the runaround from Aon after many emails and phone calls. I have been told everything from I didn't file a claim to they have a large backlog of claims. This time the representative asked me if I had received their July 11 email explaining that they were backlogged. It has been over 4 months since we filed and over two months since that email. I am planning to reach out to the Consumer Protection Agency about this matter. It is unconscionable that many consumers are having these difficulties with Aon. The reviews on this site are the tip of the iceberg. Aon should be worried about a class action lawsuit.

My wife and i booked a cruise with HAL and were diagnosed with COVID the 2nd day out. We were quarantined for the cruise and had to purchase separate hotel rooms and fly home on separate days. The cruise was june 5th. We filled a claim on June 20th with AON because they were the ones offered by HAL. Initially told it would take 21 business days to complete claim. conversations with 3 reps and 1 supervisor as of today 22 Sep. and all i have been told is we have your paperwork and your case is assigned to an examiner. No reason why the 21 business days has not been passed. It is now over 60 days. HAL should be embarrassed to be affiliated with this company, Next time will purchase travel insurance on my own.

I totally agree with many of these comments. My claim was received by them on July 20 with a statement that I could expect my medical reimbursment withing 21 business days. It's now beem 45 business days and after 3 calls and a conversation with a supervisor Andy, he can only tell me, "Give us another 30 days". I wish I knew how to initiate a class actions suit against them but someone should. We've traveled a LOT and we usually deal with Allianz. Now THAT'S the company to deal with. I've had claims processed on the phone. The cruise lines must get one heck of a kick-back because, with the amount of the negative rhetoric about this company, they must know what's going on.

How are companies like this allowed to stay in business?! Carnival Cruise Lines destroyed my luggage in May of 2022, refused to pay for it, and instead told me to file a claim with this awful "insurance" company. Like others have stated in reviews, all we get is the runaround and excuses. Aon admits they have what they need to substantiate the claim but refuse to do so. Both Aon and Carnival need to be put out of business forever.

I wish I had read the reviews before purchase insurance through this company that is promoted by Carnival. Bermuda updated their travel requirements in June to include making a request and receiving approval to disembark. We decided not to cruise to Bermuda and and use our completely paid fare to cruise elsewhere on Carnival. Even though this changed occurred after we booked and completely paid for our cruise carnival would not waive the cancellation fee and directed us to AON as we had purchased cruise insurance and merely wanted future cruise credit and not a refund. Our claim was denied and Carnival just gets to keep $615.00 even though we purchased the insurance and the change in the requirements to the destination occurred after we booked and paid. We are Platinum cruisers and will not make it to Diamond Level. It seems the cruise is struggling and attempting to recoup all the covid lost revenue by these shady customer service practices.
