$21,137 in losses and access removed after I questioned trade instructions
I purchased a monthly TradeGenie plan approximately two weeks ago. As of September 1, 2026, at 11:46 a.m., my account showed losses of approximately $21,137 on trades I entered while following the service’s alerts. On August 31, I received what I believed were incorrect or unclear instructions for closing an Amazon options trade. I emailed TradeGenie requesting clarification, an explanation of the losses, and correction of the communication issues. Instead of addressing my concerns, TradeGenie removed me from its communications. I was left with open positions, substantial losses, and no access to the service I had purchased. I am now trying to manage and exit these positions safely while hoping to recover some of my losses. This review reflects my personal experience. I have retained the emails, alerts, account statements, transaction records, and subscription receipt. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend TradeGenie.
Response from Trade Genie Inc.Oct 22, 2026
Bijender, Your review raises serious concerns about reported trading losses, an Amazon options closing alert, and the cancellation of your Trade Genie subscription. We want to address each point clearly and respectfully. Regarding your losses, your original review reported approximately $21,137 as of September 1, 2026. In correspondence dated October 8, you reported that the remaining loss had declined to approximately $11,000. We recognize that either amount is significant. You provided these figures; we cannot independently verify your account results without complete brokerage records, including contracts, position sizes, executions, and closing transactions. Trade Genie provides options alerts, market analysis, and educational information. We do not execute trades, select position sizes, or manage members' brokerage accounts. Options trading carries substantial risk, and members remain responsible for determining whether a trade is appropriate for their experience, finances, and risk tolerance. Regarding the Amazon closing instruction, you questioned which options contract it applied to. Our later correspondence distinguished an earlier September position from a separate October trade. Even so, we agree that clarity about the underlying security, strike, expiration, and applicable position is essential—especially where multiple contracts may be involved. We take your concern about communication seriously. We believe alerts should identify the relevant position clearly, and members should seek clarification before acting on an instruction they do not understand. Regarding your membership, we provided educational explanations because understanding options contracts, execution, position sizing, and risk is fundamental to using an alert service. After several exchanges, we concluded that the degree of individualized instruction and account-specific assistance you were seeking exceeded the support our subscription is designed to provide. We therefore canceled the subscription and issued a prorated refund for the unused portion. That decision was about service suitability, not your right to raise questions or request clarification. We do not consider a request for clarification a reason, by itself, to cancel a membership. You also expressed concern about being left with open positions. Because Trade Genie does not have access to or control over members' brokerage accounts, cancellation cannot close or manage positions held there. We nevertheless recognize that communication about existing positions matters, particularly when a member has raised concerns, and we take that responsibility seriously. After cancellation, you contacted us to request renewed access to our options-alert service. We acknowledge that request, but our assessment of the service's suitability for your needs has not changed. It would not be responsible to encourage someone to resume a high-risk trading service primarily in hopes of recovering earlier losses. For prospective members, options alerts are information—not personalized investment advice or a guarantee of results. Successful risk management requires understanding each contract, evaluating position size and potential loss, and making independent trading decisions. No alert service can eliminate market risk or substitute for individual account supervision. Bijender, we understand that your experience was disappointing. We disagree that discontinuing your subscription meant we didn't take your concerns seriously. Our decision reflected the limits of the service we can responsibly provide. We appreciate the opportunity to respond and wish you well. Noshee Khan Trade Genie
