37,63€ of import fees for a 65€ package. After hearing about it whit DHL, I found out that the add like 21€ as administration fee for every package that flies with a plane, even if is a 5€ package. That, plus taxes, plus 3€ for each package as new fee that they added form this year. Tozando never says nothing about those 21€, I never agree with it, but If you send the package back, they will redound you nothing. Be aware of it before placing an order.

Hi! Thank you very much for your review! We do ask customers at many of our destination countries to cover import fees and VAT taxes which may apply. While this is viewable in our shipping policy and in the shopping cart before checkout, we will certainly review this issue to see if this information can be made more easily accessible. - The Tozando International Team

Catastrophic customer service!
Catastrophic customer orientation and complaint management. Ordered a tailored Hakama which was much too big and heard only poor excuses event after I had to send photos wearing it as a proof. Just playing with the customer and no ability to take over responsibility. A shame for a Japanese shop.

Thank you for your order and for sharing your experience. We are very sorry that you had to wait so long for your iaito and that your emails went unanswered.
Delays in receiving some components affected production. However, we should have kept you informed and responded to your inquiries. We understand how frustrating and worrying this experience must have been.
We hope you are pleased with the iaito you have now received. We recognize that its arrival does not make up for the lack of communication during your wait, and we are working to improve how we keep customers informed.
If you have any questions or concerns about your iaito, please contact us at [email protected].
Kind regards,
The Tozando Team

Poor instructions for sizing and poor international customer service
I have bought aikido equipment and attire from Tozando for many years - it's a beautiful shop in Kyoto - and have enjoyed those products. However, I recently tried to order cloth and leather tabi to be shipped to Australia. I followed the instructions to measure my footlength for sizing but the tabi arrived and are too short and cannot close (the measurement pertains to the outside of the tabi, not the size of the foot). I have tried writing to them several times both through their internal site review and through their email and have had no response at all. These are expensive items (approx 80USD) and they have a responsibility to advertise the sizing properly and to respond to customer concerns. I want to return them (as new) and receive the right size for training with an injured foot, but they are not answering.

I ordered an AG500 Dogi from Tozando and after 2 months I still waiting for delivery
I ordered an AG500 Dogi from Tozando. It was supposed to arrive by the 24th of last month. Today, nearly two months later, I still haven't received it—and no confirmed delivery date has been given. All I hear are vague comments like "end of the month."
This is unacceptable from a company with such heritage and reputation. I feel completely ignored and disrespected. I cannot recommend Tozando at this point.
